They've only had JJ Abrams and STD to work off for the last decade, what did you expect? That trash isn't going to inspire anything good. Of course they're going to go for cash-grabs focusing on the old series and follow trends. We've gotten:
>phone pay-to-play games
>a vr game
>a card game
So we should be getting some sort of Area Shooter, like a Star Trek version of that newish Dreadnought game but you better expect it to be hot shit trash.

i mean if you could build a full cardassian/klingon deck, and the game doesn't feel extremely p2w, then i'm sold
but i'm pretty sure it's gonna be p2w

It's sad they don't do anything at all anymore.
Which got me thinking after playing that Windward game on /vg/ it makes me wonder nobody has made a Star Trek game sort of like that? It's actually lend itself rather well to such things.

While we're discussing fantasy Trek games:
<An FPS with RPG elements similar to System Shock 1+2.
<A non-canon Enterprise exploration RPG similar to Star Control 2.
<A smart coffeebreak exploration war game similar to the 80s EGAtrek and VGAtrek.

Yes, pay-to-win is cancer.

It's an actual good game and you should have played it. It was really generous with legendaries and had nice 3d ships instead of shitty drawings.
It was my favorite card game until it was dead, and even then I didn't want to let it go.
I quit because I experienced the bashir bomb play that insta kills you in one turn and I thought it was the gayest mechanic ever. Did I mention I quit, more like I ragequit

Better off with Elite Force Mods
>ME RPG
Well the first game was essentially a Trek game secretly.

>ST Space Battle game, main focus (after you've gone through the first 5-6 missions) is to design your own ship for use in the game.
>Include realistic distances and autistic physics.
>Make the technobabble a part of the games mechanics.
>As you defeat different campaigns (set across the timeline) you unlock more parts from different races for use in ship design for both SP and MP.
>Single player uses persistent crew who develop skills and character over time (at least as well as Jagged Alliance)
I know that we'll never get this, as even if it would sell it would be about 5 games worth of content, but it's a nice idea. I just want to spend a few weekends optimising the horrific looking Frankenship (that started life as an Neptune class survey ship that was jury rigged for combat, and is now buried under a sea of EPS conduits and home-brew wiring and is now rated for Warp 9.8, because the idea makes me laugh) I've cobbled together from parts taken from all 4 quadrants and crewed by a collection of psychotic turbo autist officers who've been put through the kind of hell that would break The Chief.

We already got this, twice. With the latter letting you port ships into Dominon Wars and use them.

Just combine it with bridge commander and you've got the perfect /strek/ starship command game. though I guess STBC arguably already has that ship creation aspect if you're a competent modder.

And I thought the base building mobile game was bad.
Hell, even Timelines and Trexels are better than this cash-in.

It was a good card game, retreat was an interesting mechanic and it was very generous with the legendary cards.
Also the 6 legendary card restriction helped to keep some sort of balance between old players and new players.
Anyway it doesn't matter since the servers already closed.
I'm gonna miss this game, it was fun while it lasted.

Two guys can't even be fucking frenemies without you faggots ruining it. This is why no one likes you, you ruin everything you touch, you completely ruined the concept of friendship between two members of the same sex.
1. Stop thinking your fetish is a lifestyle.
2. Quit pushing your fetish on everyone else.
