>…'member the other dabo girl Jake was fucking that was like years older than him, brings her to dinner and Ben likes her, and then the storyline just dropped off the face of the show
She was a little older than a year. I think it was explained that she was there out of friendship because Jake talked to her like an actual person rather than a piece of meat.
Speaking of which, just what IS the purpose of a dabo girl? Eye-candy, sure, but Quark could have holo-emitters installed in the casino area and save on wages and whatever pitiful benefits he doles out.

>Was Nog really as bad as everyone remembers?
He was actually the character who grew the most in the entire series. We know he makes Captain at some point, he managed to survive major battles and PTSD. He goes from squealing piglet to a better man (by human standards, I guess) than either his father and uncle.

>HU-MAN
I always thought that was a hilarious touch. Even Quark pronounces it that way, even though everything else comes through in perfect English. I think it's a call-back to the first Ferrengi episodes where it was "Hu-man" every five minutes while making threats. It means the Ferrengi of DS9 are deliberately pronouncing it that way, possibly because they know it get on the humans' nerves.
