I might be making some wrong calcs here, but the normal bodies have 2 diffuse, 2 specular(shine/gloss), 2 normal(bump).
What I'm understanding here is that they are proposing a number even greater than 8 textures:
I'm going to assume that the diffuse remains at 2 and same with the specular – even though we can’t be sure – and that they want to go silly only with the normal maps. The total would actually be 12 in this case.
