Would someone please post every single copypasta of this meme they can? Even post the ones that don’t seem like copypastas, kind of like this post. I really want a more complete picture so I can participate more easily. Thank you in advance if you help.

The self-modifying meme, name changing meme, or Blandy, among other names, is a meme whose name continually and purposefully changes by its community who posts it. It is self-explanatory. Most of the names that refer to it describe characteristics of the systems of the naming and of the transmission of the meme itself. A minority of the socially recognized names describe unrelated concepts, often coined by distributors at will competitively in hopes of adoption by the community overall. A commonly associated running gag is that nobody seems to understand the meaning of the meme or why it is frequently posted. Sometimes, when a phrase is strongly associated with the memeplex the main imagery associated with it will be completely replaced by very different imagery, often seemingly at random. The face shown in the meme is considered by many in the community to be AI generated, and not that of a real person. Nicknames commonly spontaneously arise for this supposed character. Detractors often create threads using the meme while repeatedly self-bumping (replying multiple times (sameposting) to one's own thread), to give the impression that the meme is far less popular than it really is, as many imageboards display the number of unique posters in a given thread. This behavior is done to make the meme seem "forced" by "shills" posting it, rather than "organic" by regular users posting it as is usually the case.

Pick someone you know that talks or writes in a unique way. Try to create new texts to be copied and pasted that are written in the style of those people that you picked talk or write in. Describe this meme using that style. Below is an example.

Most of the names that refer to it describe characteristics of the systems of the naming and of the transmission of the meme itself. Tell me more about the IP spoofing meme.

--

There is currently no universal methodology to disprove cases of IP spoofing. Virtually every and any IP in the world could be spoofed, and law enforcement agencies are unable to prove otherwise wit only telecommunications evidence.

--

Well, IP spoofing isn't very useful if you want to receive packets.

--

Posting in a .onion is the closest thing we have to a IP spoofing. The onion IP address is 127.0.0.1, so is the client.

--

ah, shit, we're talking about private IP spoofing. I thoguht we were talking like setting your public IP address to 666.666.666.666 or something like that.

--

lol, well...I'm no expert (or am I?) but I would imagine the idea is to spoof the initial login IP...but then receive packets to your real IP. The server would probably only log the initial handshake or login.

Other than that, if you know the REAL public IP won't be available, you could put up an "evil Twin" in the same Public subnet if you operated in the same geographic location.

--

You're horribly confused. Read a book on networking: Computer Networks by Andrew Tanenbaum is a popular choice.

"memes can be replicated. This will need to be cashed out a bit more, as it’s not just replication, but worthwhile replication. You don’t copy the assignment of the kid in your class who consistently gets 50%: you copy Karen who gets 90% without fail. Why? Because Karen’s work is worth copying, and you don’t want to waste your time with Eugene. In order for a meme to proliferate, it must be information that is worth copying.

In a sense what you’ve done by copying Karen’s work is allowed it to reproduce, all over your page and in your head. In this way, the meme has spread, virus-like, from Karen’s head into yours. This reproductive function means that these cultural traits are able to evolve independently of their thinking hosts’ (in this case Karen’s) wishes and can use their hosts as vectors in the service of their own survival (Dennett, 1991: 204). Memes are thus the beneficiaries of their own reproduction, not their hosts (Dennett, 2003: 177). In a sense, then, Karen’s work, once you have copied it, takes on a life of its own: it is now no longer dependant on Karen or her mind in order to exist. Its existence is now predicated on its ability to reproduce itself in the minds of other thinkers (like if Eugene were to start copying your work, once again reproducing the “Karen meme”)."
