6bf54c No.34493

Week 0: I don't know what happened. There were swarms of Grimm fighting and robot soldiers turning against us, there was a HUGE flash of light, and the next thing I know… everything is fine! Nothing bad ever happened! Beacon is intact, and Phyrra… she's alive! And Yang didn't lose her arm! But… we all look different. Very… chibi. I'm not sure what happened, but from what I've gathered, something happened that caused our own timeline to change. Or maybe it split in half, and we're all in the second half? I need to figure it out for myself. But at the same time, I don't know whether any of my friends are in the loop or not. And if they are, what sort of repercussions could they have on the current timeline? Until I can get a better understanding of what happened, the best thing we can do is to deny EVERYTHING about what happened at Beacon. If anyone else becomes aware, then it may destabilize this timeline, and maybe even cause a tear in the multi-verse as a whole! In the mean time, I will be writing down any discoveries or noteworthy events in the following weeks.

Week 1: I've explored more of this new timeline incognito. It turns out that along with me, my team, and Team RWBY, Neptune and Sun are around as well, as well as our professors and the Head Mistress. So are some other ones I haven't met before. Torchwick, Neopolitan, Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald. Not only this, but also the shopkeeper… well, shopkeepers. It turns out that there's several of them around town outside Beacon. On its own this detail seems anomalous, but then there's the fact they're more than aware of the unusual shift in the space-time continuum. But I don't know if I can trust them. Then there's also the shadow people who just creep me out. Some of them even look like my friends, and the worst I can assume is that these are echoes from another timeline. From where, I'm not entirely sure.

Week 2: Jaune decided to expose himself to Team RWBY. He was upset that he tripped over one of Blake's candle sticks and broke his leg. I tried to tell him to let it go, since it was an honest mistake on Blake's part, but he was still adamant on giving her a piece of his mind.

Week 3: Jaune's interactions with Team RWBY have heightened, specifically with Weiss. It seems that everyone's memories have been affected by the Split, as I've decided to call it, since he's back to trying too hard to go steady with Weiss. It's amusing to see, even more so when he sabotaged the Ice Queen's scroll in a desperate attempt at preventing his more aggressive calls from being surfaced, albeit a little sad. He and Phyrra were… ARE made for each other. When is he going to realize this?

Week 4: Nothing significant to report.

Week 5: Team RWBY hosted a costume party, and my team was invited. Ruby is directly involved with the Split, so I have no way of knowing if she's aware of Phyrra's death or not. So, I was barely able to keep Ren and Phyrra from attending, and I told Team RWBY that Ren was under the weather. She didn't seem to ask about Phyrra, which is very, very worrisome. I attended the party dressed as Ren, and Jaune, not surprisingly, went as Weiss. Only to discover that Ruby had the same idea. Still, he always finds a way to rock a dress. "Lookin' hot!" I told him.

Week 5 (continued): Team RWBY discovered the shadow people. It seems all four of them are aware of their presence, as well as the fact that some even faintly resemble themselves. I don't know what the repercussions of this will entail, but there's no point in worrying now.

Week 6: I knew re-introducing my team to Team RWBY was a bad idea. But at least allowed me to confirm two suspicions that had been lingering in my mind for a while. One, it seems that Ruby is on the cusp of awareness of what her silver eyes managed to do to our original timeline, as she openly admitted to having seen Phyrra die. Luckily, I was able to put those suspicions to rest. The second, everyone else is blissfully unaware of what me and Ruby know, at least as much as the latter does, as Ren referred to our daily activities as "comedy skits." Regardless, that was an incredibly close call. And who knows what else may trigger Ruby to recollect the existence of our original timeline? Thus, I've enlisted the help of the Shopkeepers. They agreed to remain posted at key locations to prevent Ruby from making any more discoveries as long as it doesn't get in the way of their businesses. They know just as much as I do that Ruby CANNOT remember the truth. Otherwise, it would mean the end of this timeline, and potentially, everyone residing in it!

Week 7: I went to an arcade with Yang and Ren. The shopkeepers are on my side now, so it's only natural that I provide them with my patronage. Problem is… maybe I'm too good of one. You see, I managed to hit a jackpot with one of the machines… which coincidentally broke. For some reason, the shopkeeper there was pissed as hell. What, just because several of the machines had a hammer-shaped dent on them, it's automatically MY fault? At least he gave me my prize before he closed the arcade for repairs.

I returned to my team for practice, but Jaune ended up lagging behind for some reason.

Week 8: IT NEARLY HAPPENED. The shopkeeper guarding Beacon's vault told me that Team RWBY discovered it and went to it via the elevator. Recruiting all of them was starting to pay off. Had he not been there to tell them off, Ruby would've discovered the truth.

On a more lighthearted note, I had cake today! It was delicious. But then Yang's semblance started acting up for some reason. Maybe I forgot to say "excuse me" after that huge belch I let out? Come to think of it, she doesn't seem to be the only one. Phyrra's has been on the fritz too, notably when she's been doing the dishes and when Ren, Jaune, and I went on that hike. I'll need to look into this when I have the time.

Week 9: Turns out, the instability of Yang and Phyrra's semblances was a coincidence, and a one-time deal at that. Nothing significant to report, apart from that. Oh, but I did get to play tag with the team! Ren's so silly, taking the game so seriously.

Week 10: Nothing significant to report.

Week 11: Decided to do a social experiment with Ren, which involved how he'd react to the pancakes he's making going missing. It went well, until I fell into a trap he set up to capture me. And then got syrup poured on my face. It seems Jaune wanted to do something different as well, some kind of audio log for something called 'ASMR.' Not sure what it means, other than him just using objects to make noises into a microphone as he's quietly talking into it. I dropped by to say hi, but then he just freaked out.

Week 12: Team RWBY hosted a play, and my team and I attended. Professor Ozpin acted as the narrator and even Professor Port attended, allowing us to skip class. He even lent his weapon as a prop for the gang to use. And it got me thinking… why are the professors so easygoing? Then I looked back at the past few weeks and realized that there's a constant in this timeline: nothing bad ever happens. ever. I thought it was merely the timeline being reset when I discovered that Phyrra was still alive and Yang didn't lose her arm, but now I understand that this universe has only one rule, and it's that if anyone is hurt, sick, or killed, everything is fine and dandy by the end of the week. Like each incident is isolated, and without an overarching storyline.

Week 13: Played Spin the Bottle with the team and some friends. I also got the opportunity to train Team RWBY after I ended up breaking my own team. Wimps. Besides, they'll all recover. I know that now.

Week 14: I was being called in by Neptune and Sun for a police interrogation. I feared the worst, thinking that they might've figured out what I was. Luckily, I was able to play it cool, only to find out that this was all about: March 1st. And an incident with pancakes. I was relieved, and I decided to ham it up a bit. Make the interrogation interesting, as if I was actually involved. I even managed to turn the interrogation around on Neptune, and made him confess that he was actually the one responsible. 1-0 for Nora Valkyrie!

Week 15: I discovered a Grimm. You would think it would be aggressive, but instead, it seems incredibly docile. I guess without any negativity in this timeline to feed from, it doesn't know what to do and is about as hostile as a house cat. And what better gift to Ren than a pet? I stuck the Grimm in a box and wrapped it up with a pretty magenta ribbon–the color of the streak on his hair, coincidentally–and told him it was from a secret admirer. Worst case, if he had known it was from me, my chances of getting closer to him would be ruined if the Grimm attacked! Ultimately, he rejected the gift. Oh well. I'm sure I'll find another use for it.

Week 16: I lost the Grimm! I need to find it!

Week 17: Acted as an impromptu wingwoman for Jaune. Also, thankfully, I found the Grimm again!… And then broke it after Ren complimented me.

Week 18: Oh, Cinder. How you've been flanderized like the rest of us. You started off as a mastermind, having managed to get the White Fang wrapped around your finger, and now? You have your schemes out in the open and on a whiteboard of all things. At least I know none of us are in danger of getting annihilated.

Week 19: Nothing significant to report.

Week 20: Nothing significant to report.

Week 21: Nothing significant to report.

Week 22: Nothing significant to report. Again. Even less so in the past week. Had Jaune not intervened with boardgames, I would've probably resorted to beating myself in the head with Magnhild. Afterwards, I came up with a longshot of an idea. I know I'm not supposed to have caffeine, but I need insight on how far the Split has gone. If I can figure that much out, then maybe I'll have the key to bringing us all back to our home timeline! I just need a pawn to get their hands dirty for me.

Week 23: I'm stranded. I peered through the local time-space continuum and saw so many alternate universes and other… indescribable anomalies. But through this journey, I didn't make it back to my home timeline. Instead, I'm stuck in some slight variation of where I started. Everyone's voices are changed. Ren sounds like Ruby, Zwei can talk using Jaune's voice… as much as I maintained my cheerful disposition, the entire journey through the time rift I just rode along scarred me mentally. It was all just so… overwhelming.

Week 23 (continued): I just realized something. Obviously, the current timeline realizes I'm not a part of it, and the one before it that I was in will notice I'm missing. If I'm lucky, I'll be brought back to that timeline by the start of the next week. I just need to keep my wits about me, and pretend there's nothing unusual and Jaune speaking in nothing but barks. And me and all the people all around me being able to understand it.

>>34498

Week 24: You know what? Screw the timelines, screw Ruby's memories, screw everything! The one we're all in right now is the best any of us can hope for, and I wouldn't want it any other way. All my friends are alive, in good health, and nothing bad ever happens. After spending the past few months in this one, I can't fathom what happened to the other one. How many people there are dead or crippled because of the Grimm invasion on beacon? Is anyone still alive? Is Remnant as we… as I know it still alive? Or has it become a wasteland, overrun with the forces of darkness and evil? No, if I focus on the past, then I won't be able to live in the present and enjoy the life I have now. Like this. This is the way I want to spend every day. Laughing with my friends and keeping sadness away. If only everyone else could join us and see we can be happy and free. Life is full of fun now, because we're all chibi!

I see the connection you're making there. But this isn't Nora becoming tortured by the fact nothing bad happens and everything's so happy. This is her accepting her fate, even leading into season 2 of RWBY Chibi. She's given up on trying to go back.

Bumping this. I SERIOUSLY want to know if I'm flat-out autistic or if this crackpot theory I came up with actually has merit.
