Vore. As in, "to eat". Erotic consumption.
Comes in a million flavors, no pun intended. Soft vore is stuff like being swallowed whole, absorbed, engulfed, etc. Hard vore is stuff like being ripped up/chewed/butchered/cooked/digested. Both options go both ways in terms of the brutality of it: Tending towards romanticization and sometimes aloofness or highlighting the grittiness and horror of it. It gets weirder than it sounds, with every possible body part and some fictional ones used to consume the partner, who may or may not be willing. Sometimes it's giant people eating normal people, sometimes it's full on Loony Tunes physics/anatomy, oftentimes it's monsters who just do what monsters do. Or even common animals. It's hard to express how many variations of vore there are. I've seen shit that defies explanation. Futas that use their giant cocks to swallow a victim like a snake, but instead of going to a stomach the person is contained in their balls and converted to semen for future use. Soul vore is a thing too, either getting your life energy of some abstract definition sucked out by a succubus or some even more insidious monster outright consuming your spirit, unmaking you. Then there's "full tour" fags who take the process to its ultimate conclusion and end with a scat scene. Eugh.
I can get into it from a really, really heavy BDSM perspective, but apparently it's more common to just have some fascination with the physical arrangement of being consumed itself. As a rule, the art is almost always terrible, being too niche to attract or develop its own prolific artists. Type "[series you like] vore" into Google for a cavalcade of mediocrity and cringe, an uncomfortable overlap with the furry community, and more than occasional indication that some people got this fetish from Cell in Dragonball Z.
