the original one is not actually that good imo,

but man, look at those doujin and those crazy fanbase, they make parodies and arts better than the original (fanart, music, game, even anime)

it's like comparing one punch man original with the remake

they fill/rewrite the story and lore to the deep and beautiful one

and shitload of girls, what's not to like?

This is what I've been using alongside touhouwiki.net. You can just play the games in whatever order without caring about the story and read about them on the wiki.

I only played the first one and it was like that game where you bounce a ball off of a platform to break bricks rather than bullet hell so I've just stuck to 6 onwards.

Just played the sixth game. Played as a very smug shrine maiden and died many, many times and my eyes hurt along with my fingers.

Haven't had this much fun with vidya since I can't remember when.
