3 of the top chicken retailers in the US have begun of program of free boxes of chicken to people who do not resist arrest. Called "No Resist, Free Chix" the pilot program started yesterday in select areas of the country.
"We hope that by partnering with local DAs and community leaders we can end unneeded blood shed by incentivizing peaceful surrendering with free chicken."
While critics do cite concerns of people getting arrested just for the free chicken others applaud the eateries for giving back to the community.
Stock of Perdue Farms and other poultry producers jumped on the news.
