Ironically IRL I get along with most people just fine, most of the time we can see eye to eye on many issues from economics to geo-politics, what is wrong and what is right. Most know the system is horribly corrupted, nothing the government does is in our own interest and they just want to live life to the fullest while we still can. That's cool, I get it honestly. It's not the same on these image boards, at all. Almost everyone here online seems hostile, rude, arrogant, many are just plain bootlickers for a corrupt political establishment, who will regurgitate every lie they have been told by the media to believe. If you hold dissenting opinions, don't bother, you are regarded as either a "fascist" or a "merchant" or ironically both. I kinda like many normies because, as ignorant as some may seem, most already sense the world is full of bullshit and not to take it too seriously. Maybe I should learn from them, I don't think I really ever belonged here anyway.

It's more to it than that, I believe. It's just strange how I never run into anyone who is radical left or radical right when I get the chance to meet and mingle with others (some older, some younger). Overall my friends are more conservative leaning but I have a couple who are liberal leaning too, but we basically agree on most issues and no one really hates each other IRL. Some might have different viewpoints on things but are willing to listen to others' opinions too. Once you get onto the internet that all changes. People get nasty about everything, easily triggered, easily enraged. Sometimes I find myself guilty of it too. I'm wondering if the never-ending amount of fast stimulation when it comes to non-stop information has something to do with it, creating some kind of neurotic psychosis inhibiting the brain from responding, as it normally would IRL, appropriately? Perhaps similar to a cortisol rush when the brain perceives imminent threats, impending doom, which kicks in a fast emotional response (but think of this happening constantly while online).

You just haven't gone out much in many places there's very extreme people that make the internet look cute you just gotta look for em I don't think the web breds this mindset people have always been expressive some way more than others but the web def promotes that
