History and wars are not as bright or beautiful as people think in our relatively peaceful world today. There is a lot of savagery in history beyond the imagination of most people today that exist in the history even among the most admired civilizations. This thread is about posting photos of this savagery that existed not very far from our modern time

- first three: Rape of nanjing, a mass rape and murder of chinese inhabitants of the city of nanjing by japanese empire in WWII

- last two: muslim slave trade in 20th century
