Many many years ago, I had a friend who was a booking agent for all of the daytime talk shows...
One day my girlfriend Jill and I got a phone call in our high-rise in Buckhead, and it was my booking agent friend who asked us,"HOW DO YOU LIKE TO FILL SEATS ON THE GERALDO SHOW?"
"Filling seats" is a terminology they used back then on those cheesy talk shows...
They would hire people like me to "spice up" an otherwise boring show.
We were planted, pretending to be legitimate... More than half of the people on those shows were fake, just there to fill seats, and spice up the show...
The gig was paying $1,600 apiece, $3,200 total between Jill and I...
Plus, we each had a $200 per diem
For 3 days. An entire weekend in Manhattan, staying at the Empire Hotel, hanging out with Geraldo Rivera, eating great food and partying in New York City...
I went to a place called Norcostco in Atlanta, a stage and theatrical production company, and I purchased some "stage putty", crap that they use to make fake noses with for plays...
The particular episode we were booked on involvedprostitution
Jill and I were running our own graphic design and mural company in Atlanta, and neither of us were involved in prostitution whatsoever
But, many many years prior, I actually worked with Sicilian la cosa nostra organized crime, and they definitely ran prostitution and all the strip clubs and shit in Atlanta....
So I actually had a good bit of knowledge about the business...
When we got booked for the show, we had two weeks to come up with a "believable story"
I'm not sure how believable it was, but Jill and I decided we would portray a couple named Rebecca and David
The story we created involved Rebecca working as a prostitute in a whorehouse.. A brothel...
And we created a storyline about her boyfriend David, who was the bouncer at the whorehouse, and he had to deal with the inner conflict of his girlfriend turning tricks inside the business while he provided security... The entire story was complete bullshit
There are so many behind the scenes details I could tell you about this particular event, little insider secrets about Geraldo Rivera, about how those television shows used to be so fake and how they created and modified and fabricated everything...
Once I got to Times square, I purchased a pair of dummy glasses with no magnification, and the makeup department at the Geraldo show provided a wig and a fake mustache...
I was really fat at that time, because I was making a shitload of money doing my artwork, living in a 37th floor apartment in a brand new European designed high-rise, overlooking Atlanta, and Jill and I were partying like crazy, going to fancy expensive restaurants every fucking night... Splurging. I was eating tons of the very best food.. I was quite an extremist, eating huge expensive Italian dinners at Fancy restaurants, really expensive seafood restaurant, just shoveling in the food and drinking tons of liquor and doing tons of drugs...
I lost all that weight....
But boy oh boy, was I ever fat! Lol
There were only two legitimate prostitutes on the stage, the white girl wearing sunglasses, and the black chick...
The stupid fat goth pig got on there somehow, I don't know how... She wasn't a hooker. She was just part of the goth scene in Atlanta, she knew the same booking agent as me
