Basically the majority ruled that there was no “case or controversy” and that the dispute was “political” and not suitable for the court to review. Then they carved out a hadful of things they were not deciding – splitting legal hairs in an absurd fashion.

WUT? It was a dispute over compliance with a subpoena! That is the classic and routine dispute handled in court every day.
