The Trump administration has been gradually updating policies to align them with the presidential executive order on buy American and hire American.

On January 30, 2019, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it is changing the rules for the visa lottery process so that "U.S. employers seeking to employ foreign workers with a U.S. master’s or higher degree will have a greater chance of selection." The rule comes into effect April 1, which means it concerns petitions for the 2020 fiscal year. It is estimated this change will result in a 16% increase ( 5,340 workers) in the number of U.S. advanced degree holders selected.

FEMA says it may bill fire victims if it can’t get $4 billion from PG&E

Federal officials say Pacific Gas and Electric Co. owes the government nearly $4 billion, and if they can’t get the payment request resolved as part of the utility’s bankruptcy case, they may later have to ask wildfire victims for a portion of the money instead.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency wants reimbursement from PG&E to cover costs from the government’s response to fires in 2015, 2017 and 2018. Under PG&E’s current plan to resolve its bankruptcy, any payment to FEMA would have to come from the $13.5 billion the company intends to reserve primarily to settle claims from fire victims.

Victims’ lawyers are battling FEMA’s claim, which would consume nearly 30% of the settlement. But FEMA told The Chronicle that it is compelled to seek compensation from PG&E. Otherwise, individual victims would be on the hook if they get settlement money that duplicates funds already paid by the federal government, according to Bob Fenton, the agency’s regional administrator. FEMA has asserted about $3.9 billion in bankruptcy claims against PG&E because of the 2015 Butte Fire, the 2017 wildfires in Wine Country and the 2018 Camp Fire. Court papers show that only about $282 million of the total relates to individual assistance FEMA gave to victims of the disasters — the rest is for aid provided to other government agencies and administrative costs.

The maximum amount of funding FEMA could possibly seek to recoup from individual victims would be even less than $282 million, according to FEMA spokesman David Passey. Jim and Ron are controlled opposition clowns.

The first takedown happened after the board owner started to glow hard as controlled opposition. He did many shilly moves and anons called him out. Q called him out and asked to undo the all-time-captcha (that BO did w/o even answering to confused anons) and not change the way notables are collected.

The takedown then happened right after Q deleted the placeholder posts on PF - deep state thought FISA was going to hit, so they took down the site.

The story around that is fake.

If Jim and Ron were patriots, they would care for the board and make the board owner again do his job - but they don´t.

Raymond Kagumire, founder of Not For Sale Uganda, is a recent recruit to the modern anti-slavery movement.

In his own words:

“I first heard about Human Trafficking on local Uganda news through different media channels that I never really took seriously. But in August 2014, I got to know Swedish technology executive Ulf Stenerhag and he told me about his desire to expand the brand Not For Sale worldwide. Ulf sent me the book, “Not For Sale” by David Batstone. This did not only help with information - former child soldiers in Uganda and deeper knowledge on international human trafficking - but it also inspired me to start up Not For Sale Uganda.”

Setting out to build a strong network of advocates in Uganda, Raymond has been a whirlwind force. In 2015, he met with government, business, and cultural leaders, and established a presence for Not For Sale Ale in the Ugandan international beer festival. In fact, because of his promotional prowess, one prominent national newspaper covering the beer festival reported that “Not For Sale Ale, Heineken, and other international brands participated.”

Also, one immediate result of Raymond’s networking led to a rescue. An early volunteer went home after a Not For Sale educational meeting and realized his sister was given a sketchy offer. Because of this meeting, he was able to stop her from traveling to Saudi Arabia into what was an obvious human trafficking trap. In 2016, Raymond is ready to scale Not For Sale’s activities in Uganda, aspiring to establish a business hub for enterprises that address the root causes of human trafficking in his country.

Raymond met Dave Batstone personally for the first time last week in Stockholm at the Stenerhag home. It was snowing outside, and Raymond noted that it was the first time he had ever seen snow. So Dave ran outside and returned with Raymond's first snowman. Delighted, his moment of joy is captured in the photo above. Now, Raymond dreams of bringing that delight of first snow to Uganda!

Mr. Nazarbayev walked away from the table with a propaganda coup, after Mr. Clinton expressed enthusiastic support for the Kazakh leader’s bid to head an international organization that monitors elections and supports democracy. Mr. Clinton’s public declaration undercut both American foreign policy and sharp criticism of Kazakhstan’s poor human rights record by, among others, Mr. Clinton’s wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

Within two days, corporate records show that Mr. Giustra also came up a winner when his company signed preliminary agreements giving it the right to buy into three uranium projects controlled by Kazakhstan’s state-owned uranium agency, Kazatomprom.

Illinois Sanctuary County Frees 1K Criminal Illegal Aliens into U.S. in 2019

The sanctuary county of Cook County, Illinois, released more than 1,000 criminal illegal aliens back into American communities in fiscal year 2019, federal data finds.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials revealed this week that Cook County — which has shielded criminal illegal aliens from deportation since at least September 2011 — freed about 1,070 criminal illegal aliens back into neighboring communities in fiscal year 2019.

“The most concerning issue about working in an area that refuses to cooperate with ICE is not only that we do not know which criminal aliens are being released from custody, but the public doesn’t know either,” ICE official Henry Lucero said in a statement.

ICE officials detailed the cases of illegal aliens Rasheed Abass, a 50-year-old from South Africa, and Kennete Acevedo Ortiz, a 28-year-old from Nicaragua, who were free from Cook County custody despite ICE agents requesting they be turned over to them for arrest and deportation.

Abass was arrested in June 2019 and charged with indecent exposure. A month later, Abass was arrested for assault. After each arrest, ICE requested that Abass be turned over to them, but the requests were ignored and he was freed back in the community. His current location is unknown.

Ortiz was arrested in December 2018 for drunk driving, in February 2019 for domestic violence, and March 2019 for failure to appear in court. After each arrest, ICE requested the illegal alien be turned over to them. Ortiz remains in Illinois state custody but will likely not be turned over to ICE.

ICE officials detailed similar cases:

On Dec. 3, 2018, ICE lodged a detainer with the Cook County Jail on Rokas Ablacinskas, a 22-year-old citizen of Lithuania, following his arrest for attempted murder, aggravated battery of a victim over the age of 60 and aggravated battery in a public place. Without notifying ICE, the Cook County Jail released Ablacinskas Sept. 17, 2019, and he remains at large in the community. [Emphasis added]

On, Dec. 10, 2018, ICE lodged a detainer with the Cook County Jail on Isidro Ramirez-Hernandez, a 52-year-old citizen of Mexico, following his arrest for aggravated domestic battery and strangulation. Despite an active immigration detainer, the Cook County Jail released Ramirez-Hernandez March 18, 2019, and he remains at large in the community. [Emphasis added]

On Aug. 10, 2019, ICE lodged a detainer with the Cook County Jail on Mahmoud Abu Maghli, a 27-year-old citizen of Jordan, following his arrest by the Burbank (Illinois) Police Department for recklessly discharging a firearm. He remains in the Cook County Jail where, under existing sanctuary laws, he will be released into the community. [Emphasis added]

Every year, sanctuary counties released tens of thousands of illegal aliens back into American communities rather than turning them over to ICE agents. In Los Angeles County, California, about 100 criminal illegal aliens are released every day back into the general public. Federal officials have said about 80 percent of these released illegal aliens are likely to commit more crimes.
