BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
The United States has always been a source of hope to people around the world fighting to replace tyranny with liberty, justice, and the rule of law. During Captive Nations Week, we reaffirm our Nation's unwavering support for those who strive to be free from oppression. We condemn repressive regimes that deny people their God-given rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower first proclaimed Captive Nations Week in 1959, when freedom in the United States was a bulwark against the totalitarianism of communist regimes in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. Even today, many decades since the end of the Cold War unleashed a new era of democratic flourishing, tyrannical and coercive governments still threaten the freedom and well-being of countless individuals worldwide. They persecute people for worshiping their God, and jail people for daring to speak out and for demanding even the most basic forms of transparency and accountability. They use food distribution as a tool of social control, manipulate electoral processes, and undermine the will and spirit of their people through intimidation and fear. The United States stands with repressed people around the world and urges governments everywhere to respect the God-given rights of every individual and to embrace the establishment of representative government.
As Americans, we are privileged and blessed to live in a Nation in which our Constitution protects fundamental rights like freedom of expression, association, religion, and peaceful assembly. We will continue to advocate for those who are unjustly denied these and other rights, and stand against brutality and oppression, which violate the dignity of all people.
The Congress, by Joint Resolution approved July 17, 1959 (73 Stat. 212), has authorized and requested the President to issue a proclamation designating the third week of July of each year as "Captive Nations Week."
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim July 21 through July 27, 2019, as Captive Nations Week. I call upon all Americans to reaffirm our commitment to supporting those around the world striving for liberty, justice and the rule of law.

Twitter Suspends Angel Mom for Posting About Illegal Immigration
Angel Mom Mary Ann Mendoza, who heads the Angel Families organization, has been suspended from Twitter after posting about illegal immigration and raising awareness about the harms of sanctuary city policies.
Angel Mom Mendoza’s son, 32-year-old police officer Brandon Mendoza, was killed in May 2014 by a drunk illegal alien who was driving the wrong way down a highway in Mesa, Arizona.
This week, Mendoza was suspended from her Twitter account and told she would not be able to sign back in unless she deletes a series of posts about crimes committed by illegal aliens and the impact of sanctuary city policies on American citizens.

“I’m disgusted and disappointed that Twitter is trying to silence me,” Mendoza told Breitbart News. “I had my world ripped out from under me the day my son was killed by a repeat illegal alien criminal. I am the ‘other’ side of this crisis and the end result of open borders and the careless release of illegal aliens at our borders because of time restraints.”
Mendoza said despite the Twitter suspension, her voice will not be silenced.

In four intensely reported investigative columns — here (August 13, 2018), here (October 23, 2018), here (October 30, 2018), and here (November 5, 2018), — David Steinberg has explored the evidence suggesting that Ilhan Omar entered into a sham marriage with her brother in 2009. This is his fifth. He titles it “Meet Leila Elmi: The Missing Link Showing Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother.” Drawing on his research, interviews, and social media evidence he makes the case that Omar has engaged in a variety of fraudulent activities and willful misrepresentations related to her marital arrangements. On October 22, 2008, the U.S. State Department stopped accepting applications for the Priority 3/Refugee Family Reunification program — the process by which refugees can apply for asylum if one family member is already a legal U.S. resident. State halted the program because DNA testing — primarily of Somalis — had concluded that perhaps 87 percent of applicants were fraudulently claiming family relationships.
Despite continuing war, Somalia of 2008 was not comparable to the open hell of the early 1990s, when an eight-year-old Ilhan and her family fled to Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camps. She lived there from 1991 until 1995, aged eight to 12. However, U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D-MN) is now under scrutiny for acts she took beginning in 2009 — not 1995. In 2009, Omar was a 26-year-old U.S. citizen. She had been a U.S. citizen for nearly nine years.
Additionally, the foreign national Omar apparently helped commit fraud was not fleeing hell in 2009, either. Ahmed Nur Said Elmi was a long-time citizen of the United Kingdom. He even possessed a high school diploma from the United States: Elmi attended a St. Paul, Minnesota high school for his senior year of 2002-2003, and graduated before returning to London.
We look to 1995 not to incriminate a kid, but to answer questions about what Omar did 14 years later as an adult U.S. citizen.
Please read the verified evidence below — and read it alongside the three years of verified evidence published by Scott Johnson, Preya Samsundar, and myself (our work is linked here). The answers to those questions about 2009 appear to give probable cause to investigate Omar for eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud, and even bigamy.

Donald Trump: Rock Star Welcome for Ilhan Omar 'Staged' in Minnesota
Democrats are calling for authorities to evaluate security for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and the other three freshmen members of the so-called “Squad,” arguing that President Trump’s verbal attacks on them at a recent rally in North Carolina have threatened their safety, according to Politico.
“It’s crystal clear to me that her life is in imminent danger,” Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) told the outlet. “He has threatened the safety of a member of Congress. That takes this to a whole different level.”
Trump later disavowed the chant, and Omar reportedly told reporters Thursday she was not worried about her personal safety.
But according to Politico, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that Democrats spoke with the Sergeant-at-Arms office “about making sure that our members have what they need for their protection,” and House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) has sent two recent letters to Capitol Police, urging them to reevaluate their security protocols for Omar and the other freshmen.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has also reportedly said she has concerns for her safety and is discussing with Democrats whether to ask for additional security.

The right to speak out against government wrongdoing is the quintessential freedom.
Unfortunately, those who run the government don’t take kindly to individuals who speak truth to power. In fact, the government has become increasingly intolerant of speech that challenges its power, reveals its corruption, exposes its lies, and encourages the citizenry to push back against the government’s many injustices.
This is nothing new, nor is it unique to any particular presidential administration.
President Trump, who delights in exercising his right to speak (and tweet) freely about anything and everything that raises his ire, has shown himself to be far less tolerant of those with whom he disagrees, especially when they exercise their right to criticize the government.
In his first few years in office, Trump has declared the media to be “the enemy of the people,” suggested that protesting should be illegal, and that NFL players who kneel in protest during the national anthem "shouldn’t be in the country." More recently, Trump lashed out at four Democratic members of Congress—all women of color— who have been particularly critical of his policies, suggesting that they “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
Fanning the flames of controversy, White House advisor Kellyanne Conway suggested that anyone who criticizes the country, disrespects the flag, and doesn’t support the Trump Administration’s policies should also leave the country.
The uproar over Trump’s “America—love it or leave it” remarks have largely focused on its racist overtones, but that misses the point: it’s un-American to be anti-free speech.
It’s unfortunate that Trump and his minions are so clueless about the Constitution. Then again, Trump is not alone in his presidential disregard for the rights of the citizenry, especially as it pertains to the right of the people to criticize those in power.
President Obama signed into law anti-protest legislation that makes it easier for the government to criminalize protest activities (10 years in prison for protesting anywhere in the vicinity of a Secret Service agent). The Obama Administration also waged a war on whistleblowers, which The Washington Post described as “the most aggressive I’ve seen since the Nixon administration,” and “spied on reporters by monitoring their phone records.”

Mollie Hemingway: Those ‘Making False Allegations’ Against Kavanaugh Have Not Been Prosecuted
Politicians, news media figures, and assorted leftists who slandered Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh have not been held accountable for their misconduct, said Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino, authors of Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court, in a Friday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
The Democrats and broader left used the “politics of personal destruction” during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings to the Supreme Court, said Hemingway, senior editor at the Federalist and Fox News contributor.
“This is part of a larger effort by some people to have the politics of personal destruction be dominant,” Hemingway assessed. “It’s why it was important that Kavanaugh actually win the confirmation battle, because if he had lost it, it would have been lights out for this type of politics.”
Those orchestrating slander against Kavanaugh have not been held accountable, said Hemingway.
Hemingway said, “What concerns [Carrie Severino] and me is that no one really has been held accountable for some of what happened, and the way to prevent this from happening in the future is to hold people accountable.”
Hemingway went on, “There were senators who intentionally and willfully violated or abandoned Senate processes and procedures, and nothing happened to them. Dianne Feinstein circumvented the Senate procedures put in place to protect nominees and people who make allegations against them. Nothing happened.”
Hemingway added, “Nothing happened to Cory Booker or Kamala Harris for their antics during the hearing. It merely elevated their profiles. The media didn’t receive any punishment. They just gave each other awards. And then some of the people who made false allegations actually did get criminal referrals, but to this point nothing has actually been done to prosecute them for making false allegations.”
Hemingway explained, “Damaging someone’s reputation is a real harm. We think of crime as being about actual acts of physical violence, but damage to a reputation causes real harm and it needs to be taken seriously so that these things don’t happen again. Part of it is just about people being aware of what the left does with confirmation battles, but there also needs to be accountability.”
“This is about scaring people out of public life, especially if you’re a Christian and on the right,” said Marlow, “and that, to me, has a lasting impact. … Who wants it? Who wants the attention [or] the scrutiny?”
Kavanaugh received “more questions than every single Supreme Court nominee, to that point, combined,” noted Severino, adding, “These are questions … are designed as a harassment and delay technique.”
Hemingway warned, “Had [Brett Kavanaugh] lost, he would be tarred forever as a serial gang rapist. These were things that were entered into the congressional record that caused real problems for people.”
Future Republican Supreme Court nominees will be subjected to the same “defamation” Kavanaugh received, estimated Hemingway, if those making false allegations are not held accountable.
“When you’re not held accountable, it will happen again,” Hemingway predicted. “Particularly when you are replacing a liberal bloc justice with a Trump nominee, or another Republican president’s nominee. People would be naive to think it won’t happen again, and they need to gird their loins for what could come.”
Severino gauged Kavanaugh’s confirmation as a turning point for conservative advancement against left-wing momentum, contrasting it with Democrats and the broader left defeating the 1987 nomination of Robert Bork.
“Remember, the seat that Justice Kavanaugh fills now is the seat that was denied to Robert Bork back in 1987,” recalled Severino. “Where the conservative movement wasn’t prepared, at that point, to defend [Robert Bork] adequately and successfully, we were able to do so this time last year, and that is a real victory.”

Equifax nears deal to pay about $700 million to settle U.S. data breach probes: WSJ
(Reuters) - Credit reporting company Equifax Inc (EFX.N) is close to a deal to pay around $700 million to settle data breach probes with U.S. regulators and states, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Equifax will pay the amount to settle with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and most state attorneys general, the Journal reported.
Equifax said it had no comment on the WSJ report.
The 2017 data breach at the company affected more than 143 million people worldwide.
The amount to be paid by the company could change depending on the number of claims eventually filed by consumers, according to the report, which added that the settlement could be announced as soon as Monday.
The settlement will require the credit reporting firm to make more changes to how it protects and handles consumer data, the WSJ said.
A fund will be established to compensate consumers for the harm that they suffered as a result of the breach, according to the settlement reported by the paper.

and I was aware he'd moved to Mexico before he had posted that info on his page. Now I don't know if it's because he's an older gentleman (we're talking babyboomer generation) or what, but his webpages always have a scammy quality to them so it's easy to write him off as a scammer.
But he's a very intelligent man and I always wonder about whether there isn't some truth to what he's saying. I'm the sort of person who likes to believe the best of people.

Anyway I'm still trying to figure out if John Rohner is a fraud who's better off in Mexico or an innovator who was shut down by the FBI/CIA because he was trying to develop technology that they didn't want people to have. British Oil Tanker Stena Impero Detained by Iran, Taken to Port of Bandar Abbas
Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that they have confiscated a UK tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's Fars news agency quoted an official as saying the oil tanker "Stena Impero" was in an accident with a fishing boat before being detained.
"It got involved in an accident with an Iranian fishing boat… When the boat sent a distress call, the British-flagged ship ignored it," said the head of Ports and Maritime Organisation in southern Hormozgan province, Allahmorad Afifipour.
He added that all 23 crew members on the detained tanker were now at the port of Bandar Abbas and will remain aboard the vessel until the end of the investigation.
On Friday, UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt called the situation "unacceptable", adding that he was "extremely concerned" by the acts committed by the Iranian state in the Strait of Hormuz.
The latest development marks an escalation in tension between UK and Iranian officials following the recent detainment of Iranian supertanker Grace 1 off the coast of Gibraltar earlier this month.

Largely unbeknownst to the general public, executives and top journalists of almost all major US news outlets have long been members of the influential Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Established in 1921 as a private, bipartisan organization to “awaken America to its worldwide responsibilities”, the CFR and its close to 5000 elite members for decades have shaped US foreign policy and public discourse about it. As a well-known Council member famously explained, they transformed the American republic into a global empire, albeit a “benevolent” one.
Based on official membership rosters, the following illustration depicts for the first time the extensive media network of the CFR and its two major international affiliate organizations: the Bilderberg Group (covering the US and Europe) and the Trilateral Commission (covering North America, Europe and East Asia), both established by Council leaders to foster elite cooperation at the global level.

In a column entitled “Ruling Class Journalists”, former Washington Post senior editor and ombudsman Richard Harwood described the Council and its members approvingly as “the nearest thing we have to a ruling establishment in the United States”.
Harwood continued: “The membership of these journalists in the Council, however they may think of themselves, is an acknowledgment of their active and important role in public affairs and of their ascension into the American ruling class. They do not merely analyze and interpret foreign policy for the United States; they help make it. () They are part of that establishment whether they like it or not, sharing most of its values and world views.”
However, media personalities constitute only about five percent of the overall CFR network. As the following illustration shows, key members of the private Council on Foreign Relations have included:
several US Presidents and Vice Presidents of both parties;
almost all Secretaries of State, Defense, and the Treasury;
many high-ranking commanders of the U.S. military and NATO;
some of the most influential Members of Congress (notably in foreign & security policy);
almost all National Security Advisors, CIA Directors, Ambassadors to the U.N., Chairs of the Federal Reserve, Presidents of the World Bank, and Directors of the National Economic Council;
many prominent academics, especially in key fields such as Economics and Political Science;
many top executives of Wall Street, policy think tanks, universities, and NGOs;
as well as the key members of both the 9/11 Commission and the Warren Commission (JFK)
Harvard economist and Kennedy supporter, John K. Galbraith, confirmed the Council’s influence: “Those of us who had worked for the Kennedy election were tolerated in the government for that reason and had a say, but foreign policy was still with the Council on Foreign Relations people.”
Princeton University professor and former CFR member Stephen F. Cohen described the Council as “America’s single most important non-governmental foreign-policy organization”, whose primary role is to “define the accepted, legitimate, orthodox parameters of discussion.” According to Cohen, “the CFR really is what the Soviets used to call the very top-level of the Nomenklatura.”
And no less than John J. McCloy, the longtime chairman of the Council and advisor to several U.S. presidents, recalled about his time in Washington: “Whenever we needed a man we thumbed through the roll of the Council members and put through a call to New York [i.e., the CFR headquarters].”

In his famous article about “The American Establishment”, political columnist Richard H. Rovere noted: “The directors of the CFR make up a sort of Presidium for that part of the Establishment that guides our destiny as a nation. () [I]t rarely fails to get one of its members, or at least one of its allies, into the White House. In fact, it generally is able to see to it that both nominees are men acceptable to it.”
Until recently, this assessment indeed was justified. Thus, in 1993 former CFR director George H.W. Bush was followed by CFR member Bill Clinton, who in turn was followed by CFR “family member” George W. Bush. In 2008, CFR member John McCain lost against CFR candidate of choice, Barack Obama, who received the names of his entire Cabinet already one month prior to his election by CFR Senior Fellow (and Citigroup banker) Michael Froman. Froman later negotiated the TPP and TTIP trade agreements, before returning to the CFR as a Distinguished Fellow.
It was not until the 2016 election that the Council couldn’t, apparently, prevail. At any rate, not yet.

A three-member appeals panel ordered a federal judge to publish the documents. The ruling was handed down three days before Epstein’s arrest on sex-trafficking charges. The filings could shed light on Giuffre’s claims that prominent politicians and business leaders joined in Epstein’s alleged abuse for years.
“The media have shown an insatiable appetite for any shred of information/speculation to publish and broadcast since Mr. Epstein’s arrest,” Maxwell said. “They have published articles speculating Ms. Maxwell may be the subject of the ongoing criminal investigation of Mr. Epstein.”
The media’s intense interest in the case after Epstein’s arrest justified keeping the documents sealed, she said. The longtime friend of Epstein cited a Miami Herald article speculating she may have been involved in the alleged crimes or could be named as a cooperating witness.
Josh Schiller, one of Giuffre’s lawyers, said in a statement that the New York-based appeals court rarely overturns a decision by one of its panels.
“There is an overwhelming public interest both in getting access to these documents as well as the indictment of Mr. Epstein and his prosecution,” Schiller said. “I anticipate that this will merely be a short delay before the decision is affirmed.”
Maxwell aka Gizz Max also said that Giuffre, in anticipation of the documents being made public, filed “irrelevant documents solely to advance her ulterior, non-litigation profit purposes.”
The press interest could result in “due process concerns” for Epstein and other potential prosecution targets and witnesses, she said.
The documents were filed in connection with a summary-judgment motion in Giuffre’s case, which was eventually settled. They could provide new information about Epstein’s alleged trafficking ring. Prosecutors say it involved dozens of girls, some as young as 14.
Giuffre first accused Epstein in December 2014 when she attempted to join a civil suit filed by two of the money manager’s alleged victims who sought to nullify a federal non-prosecution agreement he struck as part of a guilty plea to lesser state charges.
In her request to join the suit, Giuffre included descriptions of abuse by Epstein and other individuals, “including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders,” the appeals court said in its July 3 ruling.
Giuffre also filed a defamation suit in April against Epstein’s longtime lawyer and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz after he denied claims that he abused her. That case is pending.
Epstein has denied the allegations. More than a decade ago, he served 13 months in a Florida state prison after getting a secretive non-prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors in 2007 and pleading guilty to state prostitution charges.
The appeals court case is Giuffre v. Maxwell, 18-2868, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (New York). The district court case is 15-cv-7433, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).

Prosecutors have said Martin’s actions risked the disclosure of top secret information to America’s enemies. One of their allegations was that Martin talked online with people in Russian and other languages but they never found proof he shared stolen information with anyone. His defense team portrayed him as an eccentric hoarder. Martin’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment. From 1993 to 2016, Martin was employed with at least seven firms and was assigned as a contractor to work in several government agencies, the Justice Department said. His positions, which involved work on highly classified projects involving government computer systems, gave him various security clearances that routinely provided him access to top-secret information, it said.
The government has not said what, if anything, Martin did with the highly sensitive material that, according to the court documents, he hoarded at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland and his vehicle. Roger Carl Chandler passed away peacefully on March 23, 2012 at the age of 85.
Roger was born October 19, 1926 in Marysville California, the son of W. Ray Chandler and Grace Johnson Chandler. Roger grew up on the family farm on Rednall Road in Sutter County; family legend has it that he regularly rode his horse to Bridge Street School in Yuba City. He graduated from Yuba City High School in 1944, and at the age of 17 joined the US army.
Roger attended UC Davis where he was editor of the 1948 yearbook and received his degree in pomology (the science of tree fruit) in 1949. He returned to Sutter County to begin his career as a farmer.
On June 11, 1949 Roger married Lois Jacqueline Kofahl. Roger and Jackie had two sons, Judge Chris Chandler of Yuba City, and Dr. Charles F. Chandler of Los Angeles.
Over the course of his career Roger farmed prunes, peaches, almonds and walnuts, pioneering the growing of walnuts in the Feather River river bottoms. He owned a soft water company, a boat business, a real estate brokerage (Roger C. Chandler and Associates) and was involved in real estate development.
Roger's commitment to volunteer service was deep. He served as a Cub Scout Pack leader, a member of the Sutter County Grand Jury, Sutter County Board of Education, Yuba-Sutter Fair Board and for many years was an active member and booster of the 4H/ FFA Junior Livestock Committee for the Yuba-Sutter Fair. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Marysville.
Roger had strong convictions and relished politics. He served on the Sutter County Republican Central Committee in the 1950's and 1960's. He was an alternate delegate for Barry Goldwater at the 1964 Republican National Convention. He was a seven-county campaign chairman for Ronald Reagan's first campaign for Governor in 1968. Roger served two terms on the Sutter County Board of Supervisors from 1980-1988. He was appointed to serve on two statewide boards by two California Governors.
Roger enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting, fishing, antique Fords, dominoes, growing vast quantities of backyard fruits and vegetables, and raising animals of all kinds. In what would today be called "the early empty nest phase", Roger briefly had over 20 Welsh ponies which he (with characteristic humor) called "Folly Farms".
Together, Roger and Jackie cherished good times with family and friends. They had many travel adventures, from single engine plane trips to El Salvador with Roger's brother Bob, to challenging the Swiss Alps in a four cylinder diesel car. For eleven years, Roger and Jackie lived in Inverness, the site of many fond and formative memories for their six grandchildren.
While he seldom spoke of it outside the family, Roger was extremely proud of his family and its background. On his father's side, he was an eleventh generation farmer in this country. He was very proud of his mom's family's more recent immigrant roots and the hardships they overcame. His grandfather, W. F. Chandler, was a long time member of the California Assembly and Senate from Fresno County and his parents were highly respected farmers and dairy operators in Yuba and Sutter Counties. He believed strongly in the dignity of hard work and the blessings that followed a commitment to family and community, whatever the individual's calling. He was delighted by his grandchildren, their families, and the character and promise he saw in each of them.
Roger was predeceased by his siblings Robert Chandler of Bend Oregon, Marion Rowe of Davis and Jean Davies of Sacramento, and granddaughter Katherine Reiko Chandler.
He is survived by his wife Jackie, sons Chris (Cindy) and Charlie (Becky), grandchildren Carolyn Ebert (Travis), Jessica Sanchez (William), Emily Chandler, Rachel Guinness (Tom), Natalie Chandler, and Michael Chandler, great grandchildren KC, Tatum and Peyton, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The flag of Argentina is a triband, composed of three equally wide horizontal bands coloured light blue and white. There are multiple interpretations on the reasons for those colors. I've had some radical experiences …one where (before I became a Christian) I was getting worked over pretty hard by a fallen angel and a PERFECTLY clear voice said: "Call out to Jesus…" and I did…and this thing let go of me and this kind of dimensional tear opened up and he stepped backwards into it…and was gone! Actually that is sort of interesting. My area of study was never about that sort of thing (I'm more into high level software myself) but are you serious that it was an effort to curtail the development of efficient engines by the oil lobby? I'd want to see more sauce on that.
Like I said, I have trouble looking at Rohner's writings and not thinking 'omg this guy is a total kook' but I can see he has a strong desire to put the information out there and it's been consistent despite the legal shit. I also know the woman he's married to and don't think she'd marry a crook. In many respects I think he's a victim of his desire to do things by himself and his webmastering skills are weak.
