Mueller’s ‘Star Witness’ George Nader Indicted on Additional Child Sex Crime Charges
George Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman and one of Mueller’s ‘star witnesses’ was charged in a Virginia federal court on Friday with additional child sex crimes.
Recall, Nader was previously indicted on June 3rd on child pornography charges.
According to a 3-count indictment unsealed Friday, Nader was charged earlier in July for possessing child pornography and for traveling with a minor to engage in illegal sexual acts.
Nader is accused of transporting a 14-year-old European boy to the United States for sex in the year 2000.
The new charges against Nader was first reported by the Daily Beast.
Robert Mueller previously investigated whether George Nader, an advisor to the United Arab Emirates, was influencing U.S. policy, the New York Times reported in March of 2018 — Nader was reportedly interviewed by the Special Counsel’s team twice.
Mueller wanted to interview Nader after he supposedly helped arrange a January 2017 meeting in the Seychelles between Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a Russian official.
Nader fled the country last year and flew to the United Arab Emirates to go into hiding after his decades-old child molestation charges were revealed.
A Czech Republic court sentenced him to a year in prison in 2003 for ten cases of sexually abusing minors between 1999 and 2002.
In one case, Nader asked for oral sex from a 14-year-old boy in a hotel room at the Hilton in Prague.
When the boy refused, Nader masturbated in front of him and paid him 2,000 koruna, equivalent to around $100 today, a court official told the Associated Press.
Politico then revealed he was convicted in 1986 in a federal court in Northern Virginia in 1991 on a felony charge of transporting sexually explicit materials in foreign commerce – importing child pornography from overseas.
He also had a 1986 charge of importing from magazines depicting nude boys from the Netherlands dismissed on a technicality.
Investigators previously found 12 videos on Nader’s phone showing children as young as 3 being sexually abused.

He visited the island over 100 times, and says that his memories of Epstein are 'vivid.'
"He was the most intense person I ever met," said Scully.
Epstein wanted phone or internet access nearly everywhere on the 72-acre island, Scully said, including in a secluded cove that the financier referred to as “the grotto.” Given his work in high-volume financial trading, Scully said, Epstein “never wanted a call to drop” because of weak digital coverage on the island.
The island's primary compound was arranged in a “Danish style” layout – with individual bedroom suites in individual buildings surrounding a courtyard, Scully recalled, including a pair of large cockatoo statues lording over the island's gardens. He said that at one point, he recalled Epstein wanting to change the name of the island from "Little St. James" to “Little Saint Jeff.”
According to Scully, that the strange 'temple' structure was actually a gym, which contained a massive framed photo of a topless woman.

China’s space lab Tiangong-2 has descended from orbit and burned up over the South Pacific. Unlike its predecessor, the terminal fall towards Earth was part of a controlled operation by the Chinese space agency.

"This Is A Fraud" - WeWork Co-Founder Cashes Out $700M As IPO Looms
This doesn't exactly inspire confidence in WeWork's (otherwise known as "the We Company") upcoming IPO.
An investigation by the Wall Street Journal has determined that WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann has cashed out more than $700 million from the company using a mix of stock sales and debt.
If that number seems unusually large, that's because it is: CEOs typically wait for their company to go public before cashing out. And though WeWork is still private and doesn't publicize sales of stock by insiders, WSJ's reporters believe that Neumann's cash-out is one of the largest on record for a tech unicorn headed for a public offering.
Neumann remains the CEO of WeWork as well as its single largest shareholder, but the exact size of his holdings in the company now is unknown. As of the end of 2017, a company that controlled Neumann's and his co-founder's stake in the company showed they held a combined 30% of the company, which was recently valued at $47 billion during its latest round of investment in January. The company plans on moving ahead with the listing later this year or early next year, and initially filed confidentially for an IPO late last year.
Of course, such a large cash-out raises questions about the CEO's confidence in the company and calls the lofty valuation for the cash-burning machine that is WeWork into question - particularly given the vulnerabilities built-in to the company's business model that have been highlighted by skeptics. Like Lyft and Uber before it, WeWork's losses have doubled alongside its revenues.
Since WeWork was founded nine years ago, Neumann has invested heavily in real estate. He spent more than $80 million for at least five homes and his other investments include commercial properties and stakes in start ups. He has also given away more than $100 million, according to people familiar with his finances.
It’s extremely rare for a private company to publicize a top executive selling stock prior to an IPO. But among the instances that are well known, Neumann's transactions rank among the largest in dollar terms.
Neumann, who is 40 years old, has sold shares during most investment rounds since 2014 - though he didn’t take money out during the January round. He is also taking out loans of several hundred million dollars backed by his shares. On the other hand, he has used some of the proceeds to purchase more shares by exercising stock options early, a sign that he's also betting on shares to move higher. As Neumann has pulled money out, holders of junk bonds issued by the company have gotten hammered.
The majority of Neumann's wealth remains connected to the company. JP Morgan has been the bank helping him borrow against his shares and the bank has separately been working with the company to structure a debt deal that would raise as much as $3 billion to $4 billion ahead of its IPO.

Alan Dershowitz Defends His "Perfect" Sex Life, Denies Allegations From Epstein Accusers
The feud between power-lawyer David Boies and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz took a bizarre turn Thursday night when Dershowitz appeared on Laura Ingraham's Fox News show to defend himself from allegations that he slept with one of former client Jeffrey Epstein's alleged underage sex slaves.
Boies is representing Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the former Mar-a-Lago locker room attendant who claims that she was recruited by Epstein's former madame and ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell when she was 16, and then groomed for sex slavery. Giuffre and another Epstein accuser, Sarah Ransome, claim that Dershowitz was among the powerful men that Epstein forced them to have sex with.
During the interview with Ingraham, Dershowitz claimed that he has had sex with only one woman since the day he met Jeffrey Epstein, and that he and his wife have a "perfect sex life." He then challenged Boies to say the same under oath.
"I have had sex with one woman since the day I met Jeffrey Epstein. I challenge David Boies to say under oath that he's only had sex with one woman…he has an enormous amount of chutzpah to attack me and challenge my perfect, perfect sex life during the relevant period of time," Dershowitz said.
Later, Dershowitz accused Boies of having a "terrible reputation for sexual activities" and insisted that the rival lawyer was only representing Epstein's accusers for the money, despite Boies' claims that he's taking on the cases pro-bono. Dershowitz claimed that he has emails from one accuser in which "she admits that she didn't have sex with me" and that "she put me in her book to help sell the book." Meanwhile, his other accuser claims she has sex tapes of powerful figures including the Clintons, President Trump and Richard Branson, Dershowitz said.
Dershowtiz then claimed that the women only started "telling their lies" after meeting with Boies.
"These are the most tainted serial liars imaginable and they all started telling their lies after they met David Boies," Dershowitz said. He then called for a federal investigation into Boies and insisted that he would be happy for the Feds to investigate him as well because "I am afraid of nothing and I have nothing to hide."
Dershowitz, who is famous for his work on OJ Simpson's legal "Dream Team" and for defending President Trump during the Mueller investigation, represented Epstein during the convicted pedophile's 2008 sweetheart plea agreement. Epstein was denied bail on Thursday, meaning that he will remain in his tiny jail cell instead of being allowed to return to his Manhattan mansion.

According to The Washington Post, “several of the young women…say they were offered to the rich and famous as sex partners at Epstein’s parties.” At various times, Epstein ferried his friends about on his private plane, nicknamed the “Lolita Express.”
This is part of America’s seedy underbelly.
As I documented in the in-depth piece I wrote earlier this year, child sex trafficking—the buying and selling of women, young girls and boys for sex, some as young as 9 years old—has become big business in America. It is the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.

Bad Apple? Every Cop in this Dept Has Been Convicted of Domestic Violence, One is a Sex Offender
Stebbins, AK — A disturbing report out of ProPublica and the Anchorage Daily News exposes just how easy it is for criminals — who have been convicted of heinous crimes — to become cops. In one town in Alaska, the “bad apple” excuse goes completely out the window as every single cop on the force has been convicted of domestic violence, with one of the cops being a registered sex offender.
One of these cops is Nimeron Mike, who never thought he’d be hired as a police officer but applied anyway. According to the report, Mike was a registered sex offender and had served six years behind bars in Alaska jails and prisons. He’d been convicted of assault, domestic violence, vehicle theft, groping a woman, hindering prosecution, reckless driving, drunken driving and choking a woman unconscious in an attempted sexual assault. Among other crimes.
Nevertheless, when Mike put in his application, he was hired immediately.
“Am I a cop now?” he remembers thinking. “It’s like, that easy?”
But Mike is only one of seven cops in the town who has a history of beating and raping women. Every other cop on the force, including the current police chief has a criminal record involving abuse of women.
As ProPublica reports:
The seven-man police force has served a combined six years in jails, prisons and halfway houses on dozens of criminal charges. That doesn’t include Mike, who was terminated on March 29, city records show. He says he wasn’t given a reason, but the city administrator said it was because he wasn’t responding to calls and didn’t get along with another officer.
Stebbins is only one town too. According to the report, the problem is widespread.
The first-of-its-kind investigation by the Daily News and ProPublica has found that at least 14 cities in Alaska have employed police officers whose criminal records should have prevented them from being hired under Department of Public Safety regulations. The news organizations identified more than 34 officers who should have been ineligible for these jobs. In all but three cases, the police hires were never reported by the city governments to the state regulatory board, as required.
In eight additional communities, local tribal governments have hired tribal police officers convicted of domestic violence or sex crimes.
All 42 of these tribal and city police officers have rap sheets that would prevent them from being hired by the Anchorage Police Department and its urban peers, as Alaska state troopers or even as private security guards most anywhere else in the United States. Many remain on the job today.
“It’s outrageous that we have a situation where we have a, such a lack of public safety that communities are resorting to hiring people who have the propensity for violence,” said Melanie Bahnke, a board member for the Alaska Federation of Natives, which represents 191 tribes. “And placing them in a position where they have control over people and possibly could victimize the victims further.”

Kyrsten Sinema, Eight Other Senators Sign Letter To Speed Up Removal Of Certain Migrants
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is aiming to implement a program at the U.S.-Mexico border that would speed up the removal of migrants without valid asylum claims.
The Arizona Democrat joined eight other senators in signing a letter Wednesday to acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan, The Arizona Republic reported.
The letter detailed how the pilot program, which is called “Operation Safe Return,” would allow for some migrants to be deported within 15 days.
“This pilot program would apply to families who aren’t claiming ‘credible fear,’ which of course is the first threshold in seeking asylum,” Sinema told The Arizona Republic. “If someone says, ‘I left my country because I can’t make a living,’ [or] ‘It’s hard to take care of my family’ — that’s what we call an economic migrant.”
Border Patrol would be given one to three days for “detailed, fair and accurate interviews” with migrant families. If the families are fearful of returning to their home countries, they would be deported, the newspaper reported.
If a family is fearful, the next step would be for asylum officers to conduct a credible-fear interview. The officers would have nine days after the family is caught to do so. After that, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice would have six days to determine a ruling on the case, according to the report.
“Within approximately 15 days after being encountered, the Department of Homeland Security should remove family units whose negative credible fear determinations are affirmed by the immigration judge,” the letter says.
Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rob Portman of Ohio, James Lankford of Oklahoma, John Barrasso and Michael Enzi of Wyoming, and John Cornyn of Texas signed the letter. Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Doug Jones of Alabama signed the letter as well.

Iowa Man Allegedly Smuggles Migrant Teen, Rapes Her While Wife Watches
A couple residing in Sioux City, Iowa, allegedly smuggled a Guatemalan teen and her father into the U.S. The Guatemalan teen claims the man raped her repeatedly while his wife watched.
Sioux City Police Department officers received a call about a minor female wandering the streets claiming to have been raped. The young girl, identified in court documents as ABF, told the police that a couple helped smuggle her and her father from Guatemala to the United States and then on to Iowa after they were released in El Paso, Texas, by Border Patrol agents, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Breitbart News.
ABF told the officers that the man, identified in court documents as Cristobal Francisco-Nicolas, raped her five times. She asserted that his wife, identified in court documents as Amy Francisco, watched from the bedroom door on at least one occasion, the complaint alleges.
ABF told investigators that her mother died when ABF was about three or four-years-old and that her aunt raised her, the complaint continues. She said her father “appeared” in May and said he wanted to take her to the U.S. She reportedly said she did not want to go but her father, identified in court documents as Fernando Bartolo Francisco, separated her from her aunt who had been raising her from early childhood. He allegedly insisted that she go with her.
The father and daughter reportedly traveled from Guatemala, through Mexico where they crossed the border into the U.S. on May 29 by walking across the Rio Grande 18 miles west of the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso. Border Patrol agents arrested them and fingerprinted them. The agents released her and her father the following day due to processing center overcrowding, the complaint states. Officials released them on an Order of Recognizance and Supervision.
From their release in El Paso, the father and ABF flew to Omaha, Nebraska where “Francisco” (later identified as Cristobal Francisco-Nicolas) and “Sofia” (later identified as Amy Francisco) picked them up and drove them to a house in Sioux City.
The father then reportedly “left her” with the couple in Sioux City. It is not clear where the father went or if he simply abandoned her after using her to exploit loopholes in U.S. immigration law to get past Border Patrol and immigration officials.
ABF reportedly told the investigators that Cristobal and Amy locked her in a room with a “metal bed and a bucket for bodily waste.” She stated that Cristobal began raping her and that Amy watched from the door to the locked room, the complaint continued.
After allegedly being raped five times, ABF managed to escape from the house after Amy left the door unlocked as she slept and Cristobal left for work. ABF said she fled from the house and found someone who could speak Spanish. The person she found contacted the local police department. Her escape occurred on June 5, the complaint states.

This story gives me a chance to comment on some things I've observed with a lot of "tech-based" startups. Massive investor cash influxes give these businesses high valuations, correct? But they don't mean the business is profitable or will ever be, right? Is the goal (at least in some cases) to tear down existing enterprises that are profitable for regular people and then create market dominating monopolies that establish centralized behemoth control over the actions of people? I quit FB, stopped my "Prime" membership, cancelled Netflix and would like to stop using Go ogle.

"This Is A Fraud" - WeWork Co-Founder Cashes Out $700M As IPO Looms
An investigation by the Wall Street Journal has determined that WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann has cashed out more than $700 million from the company using a mix of stock sales and debt.
WeWork is still private and doesn't publicize sales of stock by insiders, WSJ's reporters believe that Neumann's cash-out is one of the largest on record for a tech unicorn headed for a public offering.
Neumann remains the CEO of WeWork as well as its single largest shareholder, but the exact size of his holdings in the company now is unknown. As of the end of 2017, a company that controlled Neumann's and his co-founder's stake in the company showed they held a combined 30% of the company, which was recently valued at $47 billion during its latest round of investment in January. The company plans on moving ahead with the listing later this year or early next year, and initially filed confidentially for an IPO late last year.
Of course, such a large cash-out raises questions about the CEO's confidence in the company and calls the lofty valuation for the cash-burning machine that is WeWork into question - particularly given the vulnerabilities built-in to the company's business model that have been highlighted by skeptics. Like Lyft and Uber before it, WeWork's losses have doubled alongside its revenues.
Since WeWork was founded nine years ago, Neumann has invested heavily in real estate. He spent more than $80 million for at least five homes and his other investments include commercial properties and stakes in start ups. He has also given away more than $100 million, according to people familiar with his finances.
Neumann, who is 40 years old, has sold shares during most investment rounds since 2014 - though he didn’t take money out during the January round. He is also taking out loans of several hundred million dollars backed by his shares. On the other hand, he has used some of the proceeds to purchase more shares by exercising stock options early, a sign that he's also betting on shares to move higher. As Neumann has pulled money out, holders of junk bonds issued by the company have gotten hammered.
The majority of Neumann's wealth remains connected to the company.
JP Morgan has been the bank helping him borrow against his shares and the bank has separately been working with the company to structure a debt deal that would raise as much as $3 billion to $4 billion ahead of its IPO.
Venture capitalists have been skeptical of pre-IPO sales by executives. Most investors would prefer that insiders keep their wealth tied to the company until it goes public so as to keep their interests totally aligned. But how was Neumann able to pull off such a massive cash-out? It isn’t 100% unheard of for founders to sell small chunks of the their shares in very late stage financing deals.
But several of the most recent examples of founders selling prior to the IPO paint an ugly picture.
Some of the other largest publicly-known sales of stock before an IPO include Zynga Inc.founder and CEO Mark Pincus’s deal to take more than $109 million off the table before the social-gaming company’s 2011 IPO. Eric Lefkofsky, as executive chairman and co-founder of Groupon Inc., sold more than $300 million in Groupon stock before the 2011 IPO. Both deals attracted criticism at the time, particularly after the companies’ stocks later traded at lower valuations.
More recently, Snap Inc. disclosed that co-founder Evan Spiegel sold roughly $8 million in stock and borrowed $20 million from the company before its 2017 IPO. Slack Technologies Inc. disclosed CEO Stewart Butterfield sold $3.2 million of stock between September 2016 and Slack’s June public listing.
Since 2013, Newman has bought four homes in and around New York City and paid $21 million for a 13,000 square-foot house in the Bay Area that has a guitar shaped room.
But one doesn't exactly need to be a genius to figure out that Neumann is essentially a con artist.
He has raided his own company's coffers by buying properties and leasing them to WeWork.
He has also used the company's money to support a private elementary school for his own kid.
Don't let the company's PR machine - which has sought to portray Neumann as a workaholic savant - fool you.
Then again, if one "community adjusts" Adam Neumann's cash out (the company's preferred term for the financial engineering it has applied to its income statement)……they could determine that he's actually putting money in to the company.

Boulder Abortion Clinic Leaves Federal Family Planning Program In Light Of New Trump Administration Rules
Colorado's first abortion clinic is withdrawing from a federal program that funds family planning for low-income women because of the Trump administration's ban on referring women for abortions.
The program, known as Title X, doesn't pay for abortions. The new rules bar providers from referring women elsewhere for the procedure and require them to keep abortion services separate physically and financially from their other services.
Lisa Radelet of the Boulder Valley Women's Health Center told the Daily Camera that the center founded in 1973 isn't "willing to practice medicine" that way and sees the regulations as a gag rule. She also said the clinic can't afford to open a separate facility.
Title X funds are comprised of federal dollars matched by the state and make up 20 percent of the center's budget.

Hawaii telescope protest shuts down 13 observatories on Mauna Kea
Construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope was supposed to start on 15 July.
Hundreds of protestors have blocked construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Thirteen astronomical observatories that call the mountain home have evacuated workers and curtailed their operations.
Work on the TMT was set to resume on 15 July after a four-year delay caused by legal challenges and protests. Hawaii’s state supreme court ruled in October that the TMT’s construction permit was valid.
But last weekend, opponents of the telescope began gathering at a site at the base of the access road that leads up Mauna Kea. They sang, held signs and spoke out against the TMT, which they believe will further despoil a sacred mountain.
“I honestly don’t know how this is going to end,” says Doug Simons, an astronomer and executive director of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, one of the observatories on the mountain.
Lost nights
The observatories on Mauna Kea’s summit — which include some of the world’s largest, such as the twin 10-metre Keck telescopes and the 8.2-metre Subaru Telescope — stopped collecting data and ordered employees and researchers to evacuate on 16 July.
Affected projects include Andrea Ghez’s ongoing studies of the centre of the Milky Way. Ghez, an astronomer at the University of California, Los Angeles, had planned to use one of the Keck telescopes on 16 July to collect data on the motion of stars around the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Galaxy. Scientists use such information to test predictions of general relativity.
But Ghez isn’t bothered by Keck’s temporary closure. “If I lose a night in order that everyone can figure out how to move forward in the long run, that’s far more important than one night of observing,” she says.
Mihoko Konishi, an astronomer at Oita University in Japan, had planned to use the Subaru Telescope between 16 and 18 July to study disks of planet-forming dust and gas around other stars. “I know Mauna Kea is a sanctuary for Hawaiians, so I hope [for] a peaceful settlement for both sides as quickly as possible,” Konishi says.
Some of the telescopes atop Mauna Kea can be operated remotely, without staff on-site. But facility managers opted not to do that in case something went wrong that observatory staff couldn’t handle from afar. “We anticipate returning to normal operations as soon as the situation allows,” said Jessica Dempsey, deputy director of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope, in a 16 July statement.

In both 2008 and 2016, Chelsea Clinton was one of the top surrogates for her mother’s campaign. Using the buzzphrase “affordable housing” to describe what it would like to see more of throughout America, the editorial board at the Times laments that rents and housing prices are too high for millions of Americans, urging the government to intervene. But what the Times fails to mention is the fact that things wouldn’t be like this if the border was finally closed.
“The editorial starts with a complaint about housing prices – but it never mentions the obvious fix: Ending the federal policy of annually importing 1 million immigrant workers, consumers, and renters, which inflates housing prices and class competition for good neighborhoods and good schools,” writes Neil Munro for Breitbart News.
“Reduced immigration, in contrast, would raise Americans’ salaries, lower their housing prices, improve their schools, and also disappoint real-estate investors.”
Though the editorial never actually uses the word “immigrant,” Munro points out that a series of other articles and editorials that have appeared in the Times over the past several months reveal the true agenda behind this sudden push towards making housing more affordable.
In praising the city of Minneapolis for ending single-family zoning, for instance, the editorial board at the Times deliberately left out the fact that this change was made to accommodate the 50,000 some-odd Somalian immigrants who were sent there during the Obama administration.

KINGSTON, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania school district is warning that children could end up in FOSTER CARE if their parents do not pay overdue school lunch bills.
The letters sent recently to about 1,000 parents in Wyoming Valley West School District have led to complaints from parents and a stern rebuke from Luzerne County child welfare authorities.
The district says that it is trying to collect more than $20,000, and that other methods to get parents to pay have not been successful. Four parents owe at least $450 apiece.
The letter claims the unpaid bills could lead to dependency hearings and removal of their children for not providing them with food.
"You can be sent to dependency court for neglecting your child's right to food. The result may be your child being taken from your home and placed in foster care," the letter read.
After complaints, district officials announced they plan to send out a less threatening letter next week.
Luzerne County's manager and child welfare agency director have written the superintendent, insisting the district stop making what they call false claims.
Their letter calls the district's actions troubling and a misrepresentation of how the Children and Youth Services Department and its foster care program operate.
Wyoming Valley West's lawyer, Charles Coslett, said he did not consider the letters to be threatening.
"Hopefully, that gets their attention and it certainly did, didn't it? I mean, if you think about it, you're here this morning because some parents cried foul because he or she doesn't want to pay a debt attributed to feeding their kids. How shameful," Coslett told WYOU-TV.
The district's federal programs director, Joseph Muth, told WNEP-TV the district had considered serving peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to students with delinquent accounts, but received legal advice warning against it.
School district officials say they plan to pursue other legal avenues to get the lunch money, such as filing a district court complaint or placing liens on properties.
For the coming year, the district will qualify for funding to provide free lunches to all students.
The district underwrote free lunches for four elementary and middle schools during the 2018-19 year, and WNEP-TV said school officials suspect some parents did not pay their lunch bills as a form of protest.

Mike Fleiss, the creator of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," has been accused by his pregnant wife of assaulting her because she refused an abortion.
According to court documents obtained by Variety, Laura Fleiss filed for an emergency domestic violence restraining order against her husband when he allegedly "attacked her and 'demanded' … she have an abortion" at their home in Hawaii.
"While we were at our house in Kauai, Mike demanded that I get an abortion,” Laura Fleiss alleged in the court documents. "Our son Ben was in the house, seated in another room nearby. Mike told me, ‘If you have an abortion, then we can just go back to the way we were.'"
The tension between Laura and Mike allegedly erupted over her being pregnant with a second child, which Mike Fleiss did not want.
"While Mike has frequently been verbally abusive towards me during our marriage, in recent weeks, he has become enraged, due to the fact I am pregnant with our second child," she said in her statement. "Mike told me many times that he did not want us to have a second child. He also repeatedly told me throughout our marriage, and prior to our marriage, that he knew he would ‘have to have’ one child with me because I was 26-years-old when we got married, did not yet have any children, and he knew I wanted to have a family. Mike, however, being 55-years old, did not want to have more than one child together."
Laura Fleiss alleged that on July 6, Mike "grabbed [her] body" and "forcibly pinned [her] up against the wall" while threatening to "punch her in the face." She provided a photo of a bruise on her arm as evidence.

"The entire time I was running out of the house and to the car, she was pounding on me with her fists, jumping on my back, and attacking me trying to get the phone back" he wrote in the affidavit. "I kept telling her to get away from me. As I ran down the narrow staircase of the house, she was pounding on me so hard the side of my head was slammed against the wall."
"Once I stepped outside the house, she continued to follow me, screaming and attacking me," he continued. "I had my arms up to protect myself. Once I got to my truck and got in, she continued to pursue me and actually climbed in the driver’s side of the truck continuing to attack me and try and pull her phone out of the truck. I did not want this aggressive encounter to continue any longer and did not want her to hurt herself and the baby. Eventually, she jumped back out of the truck and I was able to drive away."

VORONEZH, July 19. /TASS/. Spraying insecticides on agricultural fields caused the death of about 80,000 bee colonies in 25 regions of Russia, the damage of beekeepers exceeded 2 bln rubles ($31.7 mln), acting director of the Federal Scientific Center of Beekeeping, Anna Brandorf told TASS.
"In 25 regions of Russia, about 80,000 bee colonies were killed <…>. This happened at apiaries, which are located near the [agricultural] fields treated with insecticides. Another 20% of bee colonies will add to these losses in the spring, as toxic substances fell into the nests, and the bee families that survived are very weak now, and it is possible that they will also die later. They also brought nectar from the fields to the nests, which may can also contain insecticides, so the queen bee may not survive on such food," the expert said.
According to her, there are about 3.5 million bee colonies in Russia and their mass death was recorded in May-June in all regions of central Russia, in the south of the country, in the republics of Udmurtia, Tatarstan and Mari El and in the Altai Territory.
"This year had an early spring, the flowering dates shifted a little and plant pests came out earlier. This year there are three generations of pests versus two generations [last year] — therefore, farmers had to use more insecticides," Brandorf explained.
According to her, a beekeeper suffered a loss of more than 26,000 rubles ($412) from the death of each bee colony.
"The bee farm costs about 9,000 rubles ($142), but it could bring, on average, 40 kg of honey at 400 rubles ($6) per 1 kg, as well as pollen, wax and propolis which is about 1,000 rubles more. Thus, the beekeepers lost not just the bee colony they will have to buy, but they have not received enough products they could sell — overall, the losses stand at more than 2 bln rubles ($31 mln), " she added.
"The death of bees will affect the volume of honey collected this year — it will fall several-fold and will be replaced with counterfeit <…> The consumer may not notice this, because there are manufacturers of honey products, and if they become more active now, the cost of natural honey will not grow much. <…> After all, the consumer does not know much about the difference between 'natural honey' and 'blueberry honey' or 'currant honey,' although the latter may not even contain any honey," she noted.
In May-June, in the regions of the Central Federal District, a massive death of bees was recorded after agricultural fields treatment. Regional departments of Russia's consumer rights watchdog began to look into the situation. They studied more than 100 samples of dead bees provided by apiary owners from Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod, Tambov and Lipetsk regions. Experts concluded that the reason for the mass death of bees was poisoning with plant protection products, namely insecticides. According to experts, production, storage, sale and use of pesticides and agrochemicals in Russia in recent years is almost uncontrolled.

John Paul Stevens, who served on the Supreme Court for 35 years until his retirement in 2010, died this Tuesday. Just before Stevens stepped down from the bench, he authored one of the most significant opinions of his career: the main dissent in the infamous case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.
“Justice Stevens clearly saw what most people know, that corporations are not people and they should not have the same political rights,” says Ellen Weintraub, chair of the Federal Election Commission.
Nine years later, we know that one specific aspect of Stevens’s warning was completely right: Citizens United did indeed make it possible for foreign money to enter the U.S. electoral system via corporations.
“If taken seriously,” Stevens wrote in his opinion, “our colleagues’ assumption that the identity of a speaker has no relevance to the Government’s ability to regulate political speech would lead to some remarkable conclusions. … It would appear to afford the same protection to multinational corporations controlled by foreigners as to individual Americans.”
U.S. law strictly forbids any “foreign national” from spending money in U.S. elections. A foreign national is defined as a foreign individual, a foreign corporation, or a foreign government.
Yet during the 2012 election, the notorious Malaysian financier Jho Low appears to have funneled over $1 million via an American LLC to a super PAC that supported Barack Obama’s candidacy.
During the 2016 election, an investigation by The Intercept discovered, a California corporation wholly owned by Chinese citizens gave $1.3 million to a super PAC supporting Jeb Bush’s presidential candidacy.
In 2017, a $100,000 donation to the Trump Victory committee — a joint fundraising committee for the 2020 Donald Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee, and several state GOP parties — may also have originated with Jho Low, with an intermediate stop at an American corporation.
And in 2018, an Illinois corporation largely controlled by a Canadian billionaire gave $1.75 million to a super PAC that supports Trump’s agenda.
How can this be? It’s all thanks to Citizens United.
Before Citizens United, contributions to candidates for federal office could only come from individual U.S. citizens in limited amounts. After Citizens United and related decisions, corporations could contribute unlimited amounts to super PACs that supported federal candidates, as long as the super PACs weren’t formally coordinating with their campaign.
Citizens United did not change the prohibition on foreign nationals putting money into American elections. But the decision created a huge loophole — because as long as a company is incorporated in the United States, it is legally a U.S. national, even if it is wholly owned by foreigners.

Turkey bombs Kurdish region in Iraq after diplomat killed
Turkey on Thursday launched an air attack on the Kurdish region in northern Iraq in response to the killing of a Turkish diplomat in the region, the country's defence minister said.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which now leads the regional government, enjoys good political and trade relations with Turkey.
But Turkey has been conducting a ground offensive and bombing campaign since May in the mountainous northern region to root out the PKK which has waged an armed rebellion against the Turkish state since 1984.
Earlier this month, the PKK announced that one of those raids killed senior PKK leader Diyar Gharib Mohammed along with two other fighters.
A spokesman for the PKK's armed branch denied the group was involved in Wednesday's deadly shooting.

This essay presents a third position on this issue. This third point of view falls somewhere between these two assertions. This third position postulates that humans did go to the moon but what we saw on TV and in photographs was completely faked.
Furthermore this third position reveals that the great filmmaker Stanley Kubrick is the genius who directed the hoaxed landings.
1) MOTIVATIONS FOR FAKING
But why fake the moon landings at all? What would be the motivation? Authors Joseph Farrell and Henry Stevens both have shown us undeniable proof that Nazi scientists had developed advanced flying saucer technology as early as 1943. These authors also show that the US Government brought these same Nazi scientists into this country in order to build these highly advanced flying machines.
Furthermore, they believe that the idea that aliens from outer space are invading the Earth is a clever cover story concocted by NASA to hide this technology.
Many sources inside the military industrial complex have related to me that after John Kennedy was shown the flying saucer technology early in his Presidency, he realized that the advances in technology promised by the flying saucers could solve many of the pressing problems of the world. He saw that releasing this exotic technology would point the way towards cheap and environmentally friendly energy among other things.
Soon after seeing the flying saucer technology, JFK made his famous speech asking NASA to land a man on the moon before the decade was out. Many insiders believed that this was a ploy by JFK to get NASA, and the secret government, to release their saucer technologies. Since it was obvious to everyone that standard rocket technology could not get man to the moon and back, JFK may have thought that NASA would be forced to release the knowledge of the technology behind the flying saucers in order to fulfill his vision and get to the moon by the end of the 1960’s. JFK’s ploy was therefore intended to free this advanced technology from the insidious hands of the shadow government.
After the assassination of Kennedy in 1963, NASA began a new plan that would solve the problem that JFK initiated. This new plan would allow NASA, and the shadow government, to keep the saucer technology secret and to still make it look like standard rocketry had taken man to the moon and back.
Someone high up in the shadow government decided to fake the entire moon landings in order to conceal the United States’ extremely new and advanced Nazi technology both from us, the citizens and our enemies.
In some ways NASA’s position on this was understandable. We were in the middle of the cold war with the Soviet Union. Did we really want to show the Russians what we had?

Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the 52-year-old Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, had been in Washington orchestrating the exodus of about 140 Saudis scattered throughout the country who were members of, or close to, two enormous families. One was the House of Saud, the family that rules the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and that, owing to its vast oil reserves, is the richest family in the world. The other was the ruling family’s friends and allies the bin Ladens, who, in addition to owning a multi-billion-dollar construction conglomerate, had spawned the notorious terrorist Osama bin Laden.
In Tampa, on the same day that Bandar and Bush were meeting in the White House, private investigator Dan Grossi says, he and Mañuel Perez waited until three Saudi men, all apparently in their early 20s, arrived. Then the pilot took Grossi, Perez, and the Saudis to a well-appointed eight-passenger Learjet. They departed for Lexington, Kentucky, at about 4:30 p.m.
According to Grossi, about an hour and 45 minutes after takeoff they landed at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. There the Saudis were greeted by an American who took custody of them and helped them with their baggage. On the tarmac was a Boeing 747 with Arabic writing on it, apparently waiting to take them back to Saudi Arabia. “My understanding is that there were other Saudis in Kentucky buying racehorses at that time, and they were going to fly back together,” Grossi says.
“Somebody brought to us for approval the decision to let an airplane filled with Saudis, including members of the bin Laden family, leave the country,” Clarke says. “My role was to say that it can’t happen until the F.B.I. approves it. And so the F.B.I. was asked—we had a live connection to the F.B.I.—and we asked the F.B.I. to make sure that they were satisfied that everybody getting on that plane was someone that it was O.K. to leave. And they came back and said yes, it was fine with them. So we said, ‘Fine, let it happen.’”
Meanwhile, the Saudis had at least two other planes on call. Starting in Los Angeles on an undetermined date, one of them flew first to Orlando, Florida, where Khalil bin Laden boarded. From Orlando, the plane continued to Dulles International Airport, outside Washington, D.C., before going on to Boston’s Logan International Airport on September 19, picking up members of the bin Laden family along the way. Other stops for the Saudis are said to have included Houston, Cleveland, and Newark. Altogether, about 140 Saudis were on the flights, according to an F.B.I. source.
On September 18, 2001, a specially re-configured Boeing 727 flew at least five members of the bin Laden family back to Saudi Arabia from Logan airport.
That same day, the plane that had originated in Los Angeles and made stops at Orlando and Dulles airports arrived at Logan. It is unclear how many members of the bin Laden family or other Saudis had boarded prior to its arrival in Boston, but once it landed, at least 11 additional bin Laden relatives boarded the aircraft.
Like Kinton, Virginia Buckingham, then the head of the Massachusetts Port Authority, which oversees Logan, was stunned. “My staff was told that a private jet was arriving at Logan from Saudi Arabia to pick up 14 members of Osama bin Laden’s family living in the Boston area,” she later wrote in The Boston Globe. “‘Does the F.B.I. know?’ staffers wondered. ‘Does the State Department know? Why are they letting these people go? Have they questioned them?’ This was ridiculous.”

5G builds on existing infrastructure and, in addition, uses extremely high (millimeter-wave) frequencies of 24 gigahertz (GHz) or more. These 5G signals don’t travel far, so antennas will be installed approximately every 2-10 homes in residential neighborhoods. 5G will significantly increase our wireless RF radiation (radio frequency microwave) exposure on a 24/7 and 365 days a year basis.

No Safety Studies
In a February 2019 U.S. Senate hearing, senior telecom executives admitted they have not done any safety testing on 5G, nor do they plan to do any. Currently, there are over two dozen cities in the U.S. and countless cities abroad that have 5G, yet there is no scientific evidence to support any claim of safety for it.
What related research does show is cause for alarm. Thousands of independent studies indicate adverse health impacts from wireless radiation. These range from cancer and sterility to DNA damage. The government’s human exposure guidelines haven’t been updated in more than 20 years, while radiation from cell phones, cordless phones, WiFi and wireless baby monitors has increased exponentially in that time.

Each 5G phone will function like a mini cell tower, containing dozens of tiny antennas working together to track and aim a narrowly focused beam to search and connect with the nearest cell antenna. The FCC has adopted rules that permit those beams to be as much as 20 watts, ten times more powerful than levels allowed on current phones.
Numerous independent studies on millimeter-wave radiation already show a range of biological effects, indicating that an increase in frequencies may worsen harmful effects.

(CNN)Strict firearm legislation could be the answer to a disturbing increase in gun deaths among young people, according to a new study.
In a paper published Monday in the journal Pediatrics, researchers found that firearm-related deaths among young people are 35% lower in states where mandatory background checks have been required for at least five years.
It's evidence that measures like universal background checks for firearm and ammunition purchases and identification requirements can significantly reduce the pediatric mortality rate, researchers said.
More than 21,000 young people under 21 died from firearm-related injuries between 2011 and 2015. The number translates to roughly seven funerals a day, said lead author Dr. Monika Goyal of Children's National pediatric hospital in Washington, DC.
Using fatal injury data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, researchers examined how the aforementioned measures (and whether or not states have them) affect gun deaths among children and young adults.
The team evaluated the strength of a state's gun laws using scorecards from the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, a nonprofit that ranks the strictness of laws on a 100-point scale. Higher scores indicate stricter legislation.
Strict laws protect kids even in states with high rates of gun ownership
For every 10-point increase in a law's safety score, firearm deaths among young people dropped 4%, the study found. Scores were bolstered by additions like child access prevention laws or extreme risk protection regulations.
Assaults accounted for more than 60% of all deaths, followed by suicides. Young men made up 87% of victims, and more than two-thirds were between 18 and 21, researchers said.
Even in states where gun ownership is high, strict laws that control the purchase of guns protect children and lower mortality rates, the study showed.
That's likely due to access, Goyal told CNN in an email. Some states require gun owners to keep their weapons locked and unloaded at all times, a type of child access prevention law, which reduces the likelihood of unintentional injury.
Extreme risk protection laws, or regulations that allow the state to remove guns from the homes of people deemed unfit to possess them, likely keep that number low, too, she said.
Gun violence is the second-highest cause of death among young people
Firearm-related injuries are the second-leading cause of death among children and adolescents after car accidents, a 2016 study found.
It's a disturbing part of a national trend: The US leads other industrialized nations in gun-related deaths, a rate that's steadily increased after years of decline, the CDC reported in 2018. But the politically potent nature of gun ownership has beleaguered efforts to legislate it.
"We have seen dramatic decreases in motor vehicle deaths by investing in sound, evidence-based research in child passenger safety," Goyal said. "We must embrace the same approach for gun safety."
The majority of states didn't require universal background checks during the time period researchers studied, they said, and some have loosened requirements since.
The Giffords Law Center, which has taken up state gun law scoring from the Brady Campaign, ranked Mississippi last in its 2018 scorecard. The state doesn't require gun owners to obtain a license or register their weapons.

II. Silsby's Lawyer and His Wife Were Both Arrested For Involvement in Human Sex Trafficking of Minors and Women
On February 11th, the New York Times reported that Silsby's original lawyer, Jorge Puello, was suspected of leading an international human trafficking ring involving women and minors. According the the Harvard Human Rights Journal Puello was ultimately arrested in an investigation being lead by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in connection with the ring. He was wanted in the United States, El Salvador and Costa Rica for his involvement with a network trafficking Central Americans and Haitians.
At the time of his arrest, his wife was already imprisoned in El Salvador and “faced charges of presumed sexual exploitation of minors and women.” Puello was ultimately sentenced to three years in federal prison for "alien smuggling." Another surprisingly light sentence given the original charges he was sought for. It it not known at this time whether or not Laura Silsby was associated with Puello's criminal enterprise.

I'll get flamed for saying this but, they should be kept legals. HOWEVER- we do have child labor laws in the country, and truancy laws, AND TAX LAWS. There are also laws associated with places that serve booze. It's easy to regulate these show out of existence. Make it illegal to sell booze or hold these shows in a place that serves alcohol.
