Alcohol does along with a lot of other drugs, however, you cannot typically function on their or perform the tasks well; not to mention the other side affects that go along with the drug; and alcohol tends to amplify powerful emotions and not dampen them. Stress only reveals the fight or flight mechanics of a person and are a good measure of a person overall gauging on how far they will go to relieve the stress, such as stabbing a friend in the back to save their own ass.

Humanity has the capacity to be great but we are a pack animal and our leaders are screwing us; Humans are nothing more than the environment we put them in on average.
