The whole story began, apparently, because of the armed forces wanting a peaceful toppling of the deep state, rather than military coup.

I'm a patriot and desperately want the deep state eradicated with a free world once more, but where is any evidence that the armed forces are on side, and where is there any evidence that they will take arms against the dep state if trump doesn't get re-elected?

Well, I don't quite know the state of affairs in the USA, but here in UK when soros has his planned and coordinated riots he does so with the protection of the police and smoke and mirrors of the media. When patriots go peaceful protesting, batons get pulled out, heavy sentences dished out and media sensationalises and lies about the motives, and turn it into a 'far right' racist fascist riot, even though it may be an apolitical, peaceful march against lockdown, for example.

We have no way to defend ourselves here, the states aren't split 50/50 like in USA, the entire government, police, military and judicial system here is deep state. So there is no way of resisting.
