Say that you are writing a long greentext that requires several posts to complete over a long period of time. Then you should use a tripcode. If you are coordinating a project with other guys in a thread devoted to said project, then you should use a tripcode. If you are personally running one of the game threads, then you should use a tripcode. Tripcodes are for when it is necessary to be recognized in order to create something of value.
