We haven't had clean available episodes on Youtube in a long time.

If they wanted to stop all the criticism they should just write good episodes instead of being meta and complaining about people who don't like bad episodes

What's Vogel's endgame? why doesn't he let the writers do their job properly?

Vogel is chaotic evil

Is there some asshole directing the voice singers to talk instead of sing? What's up with all this low-beat "laa laaa" cheesy bullshit? what happened to the actual good singing? Why does LPS get more effort put into it than MLP?

>what happened to the actual good singing?

The show never really had great singing. Evans is the only very good singer in the stable. The others are competent but could stand to have some proper vocal training. In the first season they did not even bother trying to make technically good songs most of the time. There was "The Best Night Ever," "Winter Wrap-Up," and "The Art of the Dress, but the rest were done just for laughs.

EqG, man. It killed everything…

We barely have a show because all the normies care about is eqg.

Whoever created it should rot in hell

I'd rather have Hasbro spend 64 million dollars on reanimated and reimagining Best Night Ever and Mare In The Moon.

What is the purpose of an executive micromanaging everything? he isn't improving the sales, in fact he's damaging them. What kind of an executive hates money?

09796a (1) No.296028>>296029 >>296035

>>295994 In America, all of them.

Executives don't care about money. They care about control. They must have control. That is the whole point of being an executive.

Are you saying executives are a class of people who serve no function other than to stifle other people's creativity? Because I might be inclined to agree.

Normally wouldn't the CEO of the company sue him for damages? or the ceo doesn't give a fuck? not even in Canada?

An executive applies a formula to every product that a company produces. Individually it may not be the ideal formula, but in agragate it produces reliable, predictable returns.

d7c9b9 (4) No.296045>>296047

>>296037

In Vogel's case he produces reliable predictable butthurt and tens of thousands quitting the fandom every time he does something dumb as shit.

Vogel does not really have true autonomy, as he is beholden to the Hasbro board of directors. Every decision that he makes must be made such that he will be able to show the owners how it may be expected to improve the profit margin of the property that he is in charge of. I do not mean to say that he has not done some boneheadded shit, only that he is more cog than piston.

Really, Hasbro was completely surprised by the nature of the fans that Faust's pet project attracted, and they have no idea what to do with them. Their initial mistake was to think that they were a collection of gender non-conformists who enjoyed products aimed at little girls. Once it became clear that was not the case, they looked at fan creations and determined that they were a bunch of sick fucks (which they were) who wanted the series to be more like an adult fantasy when only the most raging autists were so inclined (see the unexpectedly negative response to the Season Four finale). Now, I think that they have a crearer understanding of who they are dealing with, but they still have no idea how to make what fans wamt without going so far from any accepted business model that they cannot project expected returns.

He probably had more real say when he was an executive, one of Stephen Davis's butt buddies. He and McCarthy may have switched roles because she has more fan cred (and is a teacher's pet), while Vogel probably just wanted that fan cred.

edfc75 (1) No.296059>>296064

>>296055

I never know what to make of McCarthy. I can't figure out how the same person could be responsible for both "Party of One" and Equestria Girls. Or "Sweet and Elite" and "The Crystal Empire."

d7c9b9 (4) No.296064>>296067

>>296059

Very simple actually. She didn't write any of those episodes completely. S1 is written by Faust and S2-7, EqGirls, the movie is written by Vogel.

Of course your hand gets tired and you may once in a blue moon toss a bone to your dogs. That's why sometimes a good scene or character(Pear Butter and her song) may come out of garbage like Morning in Ponyville shines and Starlight Glimmer. Or Glimmer's Christmas episode ending up half entertaining.

I doubt anyone is supervising Vogel. Otherwise he would have been sued right at the end of season 2 or season 3 for the fandom backlash and stealing/occupying a group of veteran director seats.

Did you know Paul Rudish the guy behind the new Mickey Mouse shorts also worked on MLP? Same for Chris Savino who made The Loud House?

A lot of veterans. It would be funny if some nobody like Mikr decided to suddenly take over Greg Weisman's place during Gargoyles because he thought a mentally impaired pretend-fanboy could do a better job than a professional or any socially cognitive person.

Some of McCarthy's best work was in Season Two, "A Canterlot Wedding" notwirhstanding.
