You even get that one person who uses "I'm just being honest" as an excuse to be a total cunt? Like, no tact at all? Yeah, I'm getting those sort of vibes from this episode description.
I'm just hoping that this episode makes the distinction between being polite for politeness' sake (even if you're not 100% honest) and not being truthful to someone to spare their feelings, despite possibly being something they need to be told and not neccessarily want to hear. The topic of speech and its limits has been a hot-button issue of late and I don't want to see this shit dragged into pony. I watch the show to forget my shitty life for a bit, not to be reminded of it.
Anyway, fuck my feelings. Rarity and Applejack better fucking make out by the end of this.

The only time that I can recall Applejack being dishonest for a friend's sake was in "Party of One" unless you count the thing with the Flim Flam Brothers' tonic. I can't think of any time that she got in trouble for being brutally honest. That happens more often to Rainbow Dash who is just too autistic to read social cues.

Seems like this episode inspired a whole lot of apathy. I enjoyed it well enough. It was nice to see Photo Finish and Hoity Toity again, and Rarity's bitchin' guitar solo was good for a cheap laugh. AJ telling the annoying designer pony that "literally" literally doesn't mean what she literally thinks it means was literally so satisfying, and I would definitely bone the goth pone. Overall, not bad/10.

Many jokes about how idiotic and useless much modern fashion is, AJ being as asshole for the sake of being an asshole, the designers getting shit because they are pretentious morons who only ever try to do one thing, Photofinish always makes everything better. All in all, the episode was breedy good. Not great or even S1 material, but a good cut above average and far ahead of the rest of the season.
The strawberry pony talking shit about AJ's apples to her face was just icing on the cake.

That was easily my favorite part of the episode. Applejack managed to out-cunt Top Cunt, and it was satisfying to see her get taken down a notch. I hope that Strawberry Sunrise comes back in future episodes to shittalk other characters.

If you didn't catch it in the last thread, Canada has run out of new episodes and is now re-airing Season 7 from the beginning. In addition, Discovery Family has announced that episode 11 (Not Asking For Trouble) is the mid-season break point. We're currently expecting about a month-long break after DiscFam finishes airing their episodes.
