I was semi aware that tech and customer support jobs were being outsourced to India.

There has been a meme about all this floating around for many years.

It's a 50/50 tossup on whether mr Roger Smith, (with thick indian accent) is actually scamming me for amazon giftcards or is some barely competent service worker that is troubleshooting through his script , that i could find in 5 seconds on any search engine.

I paid 1000 for a stack of marine education books and almanacs, did 3 years working as greenhorn deckhand in merchant navy and paid 400 for exam and got certified.(and a salary raise because i was already working )

Sure back in the old days University degrees al least had value …

Now it's a 50k debt trap for a unredeemable "banana certificate" hahaha.
