This is just market adaptation. Flooded colleges were economically inefficient and people are sick of paying the price for that. Colleges "only" need to improve their economic relevance to fix that.
You won't see me ditching on college, but I have economical ambitions! People who know what college knowledge is worth are not the ones bailing. If's just the idea that a degree is mandatory that is weakening.
