I used to smoke a ton of it, and for years only got dumb and high, and hungry lol. Yep I know what you mean. I have 2x .22 guns: one rifle and one Walther pistol. Have two 9mm pistols (one takes a specialty 9mm makarov which is very hard to find now days / 9mm MAK was used during WWII). I won that 10mm Ruger (which also shoots .40 cal too). I do have a Beretta that takes .40 cal (A1 something or other). I have a couple 5.56mm, one a DPMS the other regular AK model. 65 round drum for that one too ;) And three 12G shotguns: my favorite of those being the American Tactical Bulldog 12G shotgun, it has a short stock, easy to carry around, works and looks much like a rifle with 5 and 10 round magazines for the shells (can't wait till they make a drum magazine for that!). Pretty much have a gun in every room of the homestead, and one shotgun next to my bed of-course. Ready to rock 'n roll if any commies think they're going to gulag us!!!

Butternut squash for dinner. And, of course, I'll be munching on cayenne and ghost peppers all day. Bhut Jolokia chili peppers are my favorite pepper. They taste like the strongest flavored regular green pepper you ever had, so sweet, so luscious, so good you'll take another bite. It takes 20 to 30 seconds before the heat hits you, and another 40 minutes to an hour before you will recover, especially if you took a second bite! It's best to chew the whole thing up and enjoy the flavor while you can. You'll have other thoughts on your mind soon enough…

For taking out an engine block a couple blocks away they will work awesome though, and not everyone has a .50 cal or a .460. My 7.62 SKS is accurate as shit too (with the exception of the hot brass, which it tosses wherever the hell it feels like!)

The .300 WinMag will put food on the table and take care of problems when they are still a mile away too.

As far as weird calibers go, I used to have a .41 caliber revolver with a 14" barrel that was perfectly weighted, would blow a hefty hole in things, and would deafen folks almost as much as my .44 Magnum (which I sold).

As far as pistols go, what do you think of the .45 caliber? Lots of folks like 'em, and I have very little experience with them, having mostly stuck to 9mm; but if a good trade comes along…

I'm ashamed to say I've never had the honor of shooting either a .45 cal or .50 for that matter. Would love to but don't have endless money to be buying guns. They're getting too overpriced these days. However I have shot .44 magnum before and that has quite a bit of recoil lol. It's a bit overkill for self defense, and I much prefer shooting the Ruger's Super Redhawk than the traditional .44 Blackhawk so that's why I went with the 10mm one. As for my favorite caliber I'd have to go with .40 caliber, it's good for self defense, doesn't have too much recoil (nothing like the 10mm) and is just as effective as standard 9mm.

The price is not too bad, however each 10 round magazine will cost you around $40 today. It should come with one 5 round magazine in the box. So plan for the extra cost to get a few 10 rounds.
