You can't film on private property without written permission from the owner and you can't film on public thoroughfares without a license from the city. There are some folks over the years who have embraced "guerilla filming", but those people generally get sued into oblivion and their work confiscated.

Meeting with the mayor won't usually do much good. Most larger cities have a licensing board that anon would have to go through. A lot of it is to allow the city time to prepare the area. For example, if you've ever lived in a city where filming is common, they put up signs a couple of weeks prior to filming in order to let people know that there will be something filming there. It gives people the chance to find alternate routes if they don't want to end up as an accidental extra in someone's film. Not to mention diverting traffic and whatnot. I don't know about small towns, but even the town of 2500 that I grew up in had a City Council that would handle such things. I don't think the mayor has the authority to make unilateral decisions like that.

This is an example of a cool, dramatic French movie that documents white collar Israeli crime. There still are claims of "anti semitism " but there is no "hatred" or anything in the movie. There is no possible spin for a based dramatic noir film of ryan dawsons 9/11 theory. It's just too based. The only way to possibly make it kosher would be to have Ryan's character played by an arab. You can also throw merch for certain tiers or private actor q&a. Then after 1 or 2 months of exclusivity for big contributors, then release it to all other small donors via a private paywall. 2 weeks after that, give a lower quality version out for free via torrents and any streaming site that won't shoah the content.

And the entire time keep the only high definition/Easter egg/behind the scenes, whatever value-added content you can come up with behind the donor paywall. Some people will be willing to pay for slightly better quality and access to more content, interactions with creators/actors etc.

Basically each project would have it's own private paywall with all of these value add features. If we had a studio doing multiple projects all under one roof that would be better, but one at a time to start off and prove the concept.

I want to upgrade my equipment but now, due to quality and frame rate, I record on my Samsung Galaxy s10e, it has up to 90fps and record in video quality up to 1440p.

As for editing, I use Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for everything. Handbrake I use to shrink the file size after I'm finished.

I have some good ideas, like one of the film ideas I have is to create a short film called "You Killed Me"

The idea is this: you have various soldiers of American wars, American Confederates, German Wehrmacht, and they are asking why did they have to die? Americans from that time will talk about what they fought for and remark how it is gone now.

Very basic idea, it would be like one of those anti-drug commercials or in the style of that one gun control video with the celebs saying the names of various massacres.
