Despite the fact they are talking seriously about such childish nonsense that was "kek" thing, there is subjectivity vs Objectivity of spirituality. And there are intermediates between those two main perceptions of reality.
Example of Subjectivity: Everything is a larp that is a product of psyche, but psyche itself knows how to affect other psyche and it can be proven with scientific method, therefore actors are products of intermediary connections between humans themselves. Prophecy can be rationalized by ability of hidden parts of brain to calculate most possible outcomes while awake conscious is inactive.
Example of Objectivity: Gods and Daemons actually ruling the world and playing a large scale strategy game with cosmic dice, who put veil of darkness on whole humanity only to affect the chosen. Souls born from Gods are possessed by consciousness other than themselves, their guardian Daemon who unlocks both intellectual and psychic nature of born form above human being and his main job is to attune soul to the God, as well as administer fate. And tend to speak in signs to not disturb existing order.
As you see Subjective/Scientific method gives illusion of control. Objective/Spiritual submits to higher powers willingly. We even made up all sorts of fearful tales to keep people away from gaining full knowledge of the later. Thousands of years ago we used to call "Maguses" any people with divine origin. Today we call those people Possessed, Cultists or Saints. Magician in today's language is someone who believes he can control Intelligences above himself in the first place. But in reality its all about understanding if there are Intelligences above human, within primitive human perception. Subjective method seems wonderful for those who want to rule the world, because it reminds them of their wet dreams of population control, even if that actually makes them serve Death, they'd be happy with it since atheist claims to not be afraid of outer darkness as long as he still lives.
