With recent increases in internet bandwith in the past decade coupled with this massive covid-19 experiment of tens of millions of people working from home, it seems many big cities might bite the dust.
Supposedly working from home increases worker productivity and reduces costs to big businesses. A lot of people want to flee the higher costs of living, crime, and covid-19 present in big cities. So what will be the end result of all of this?
Will NYC become a post-apocalyptic wasteland in a few years? Or will the big cities bounce back– as rich folks move out, rent prices drop, so new folks move in?

The downside to a lot of this is that big city people with money are going to buy up a lot of the surrounding areas and country side, bringing with them the retarded ideas that led to the absolute state of NYC to begin with. Funneling populations into the mega cities is one of the big agenda goals. So I'm sure we haven't seen all their cards yet. But maybe the plan has changed, who knows. I know I want out of the city. Hoping to make that happen ASAP.

this is momentary. With the great decline in economic purchasing power due to lockdowns and infinite QE, it's only a matter of time prices go down hard, everywhere. In my country, prices for homes are already down by around 10%, I predict at least another 20% drop during the next year.
I don't cities are done, however. As some other anons pointed out, the final agenda is to gather all the cattle in megacities managed by AIs, very much like china but with even more advanced technology.
