If you escape, you best have a place to call home, even if it's an old RV. Don't even bother being stupid and thinking you can survive in the woods like an outdoor pro because chances are you'll die there. If you live in a nearby suburb, chances are chaos is coming for you from next door by those who are desperate. You best be well armed and practice shooting. You'll want entry-point fortification, a 'safe room' where you can safely engage intruders from during gunfire and mob attacks, and then you'll need a backup plan to escape if you become overwhelmed and plan to use your vehicle as a weapon if facing a mob. Fuck the law, that won't matter when the time comes.
