There was more degeneracy on 8ch, since this site has a lot less traffic / users.

The biggest issue would be software. Current 8ch /8kun board is good. But what I really liked about meguca style boards was that you could see what an user would be typing in response which created very organic conversations. You can have like a main thread for just general chat (making it more social), while having more serious sub threads. Dno it has a lot of potential and have been toying with the idea.

Absolute nightmare of managing boards, websites etc is the moderation. That's going to be tough. Since this board is a lot less relevant since it went down due to Tarrants slaughter, the amount of DNC / retard posters / schizos has greatly gone down who would derail every thread, post shit threads, launch attacks and so on. So moderation is kind of good / easier. Also what really helps is that leftypol got kicked from this platform they would just shit up the board constantly.

The CP thing is an issue however a minor one.

The problem with the TOR zeronet pol was that it first had no spam protection. Then it got updated, it became even worse in functionality and all users were leaving to other stuff and it died down. It just didn't work. Also the processor cost / RAM usage cost was insane of the website itself. It would sometimes shoot through the roof which makes it even less accessible. TOR didn't really make it slow at all though, it was reasonably fast. Also probably the biggest issue is scaling the website. Obviously you can't demand for a single user to host all the posts / content on his own device. As the site grows, more clever solutions need to be thought of to reduce the burden that an user's device should have when it comes to storing pics, posts etc.

Ranking seems like a good way to reinforce good posts, but ultimately it will result in the same shit that makes reddit cancer. "Rank" is not the right word, because quality here is subjective. What we need is some implicit way of clustering users so that each user falls within some qualitative category represented by an abstract vector. Then, a new user who comes in will gradually shift towards a cluster of like-minded individuals based on how they rate and respond to others' posts, and this cluster assignment can be used to filter out things that the user would consider spam, trolling, etc. The key point here, which is required to avoid the reddit-cancer problem, is that what a person sees is not based on the ratings of other users, but rather on that person's own self-selected preference.

There will be problems with this, of course, namely that users will not as easily be exposed to new ideas. I can think of other systems that allow users to rank mods based on a record of their decisions, but ultimately any of these systems can be raided and thus hacked. You will never be able to keep a person from pretending to fit in until just the right opportunity arises, assuming that's the goal.

The solution is to have people generate a heavy encryption hash and have a 'seniority' attached to that hash, thus indicating whom is oldfag, whom is retard. You only put that hash into the database by posting and not having your post deleted. If your hash is banned or but on 'stasis', it does not generate 'seniority'

Create a table of common passwords (with hash of course) and reject all shit hash "passwords". Everyone must post with a password/hash and all hashes under 1 month old get 1 post a week (including its first post putting it into the database). 1 - 3 months get 3 posts a week, 3 - 6 months get 6 posts, 6 - 12 months get 12 posts a week, 12 - 18 months get 28 posts a week, and 18+ months get 49 posts a week or 7 posts a day.

As we get to the veteran hashes, we have to impose hourly limits. So max 2 posts an hour by any hash.

By clicking on your hash a person can see every post ever made by that hash, and how many more times they can post.

Anyone can create 999 hashes at once but there are limits imposed:

1 post every 5 minutes by a <1 month "lurk more" hashes board-wide

5 posts every 30 minutes by a <1 month hashes board-wide

8 posts an hour by <1 month hashes board-wide

24 posts every 24 hours by <1 month hashes board-wide

2 posts every 5 minutes by 1- 3 month hashes board-wide

8 posts every 30 minutes by 1- 3 month hashes board-wide

20 posts every hour by 1- 3 month hashes board-wide

40 posts every 24 hours by 1- 3 month hashes board-wide

4 posts every 5 min by 3- 6 month hashes

12 posts every 30 min

20 posts every hour

70 posts every 24 hours

6 posts every 5 min 6+ month hashes

20 posts every 30 min

40 posts every hour

80 posts every 24 hours

Now the critical improvement is that you cannot create a thread without a 3 month+ hash. As well, thinking about it, restricting image posting would be a good idea too. No images unless you have a 1 month+ hash.

Give the hash a little crystal icon next to it that 'grows' as one's seniority category improves (flavor). If the hash is placed on 'stasis' or banned, it says so next to the hash.

This system makes moderation easier, it makes banning someone easier, retards lose their hashes by fucking up Opsec and having it stolen or forgetting the password (please put some passwords/hashes in an online account somewhere, and put a majority on paper - put this in pinned thread and there's no excuse when someone loses all their veteran hashes),limits posting so severely that one must effort post like a truly triple digit IQ individual, connects together these effort posts of an individual, and requires one to LURK MORE.

The numbers may be tweaked of course, but I think it's good as-is.

Oh, and moderators can turn off "new hash posting" when the board is being spammed.

Ah, another idea: OP can set whether 100 - 20% of hashes posting can be under 1 month, 100 - 40% 1- 3 months, 100 - 60% 3- 6 months, 100 -80% 6- 18 months.

Features to give these bones some meat: Dynamic 'Billboard' at top and bottom of thread that the thread creator can modify at-will. Sounds neat, right? Only authentication is password/hash. Not sure about character limit. Give it a computer terminal or neon light sign feel perhaps.
