Post here what flags you want me to upload. Try not to make them too specific and be sure to keep them philosophy related.

If you want me to change any flags, post altered versions.

Also, I apologize for not being on much lately, I've been busy with holiday crap.

Thank God there is an active BO on this board. So I see you've already linked /his/ to /philosophy/ so I thank you for that.

I demand there be a Hegelianism flag. Hegel's idealism is... hard to compare to anything else called idealism.

It should look something like a spiral going back into itself like this image.

>politics

I don't know about that man. Doesn't sound too relevant to me.

I suggest >>>/politics/ for a board with political flags

7de9c1 No.3086

Thanks for uploading my flags! Guys, I think it'd be best if you wanted a flag at this point, to tell me, since I made all mine from the same base, and it would make the designs all consistent.

I actually know little about Hegel past basic introductory remarks and I thought Historicism was his thing. Sorry.

The reason I wanted to go with broad flags is because there might be multiple flags people adhere to.

7de9c1 No.3090

we got motherfuckin flags nigga

Are the philosopher head flags going to be a thing? Like a socrates head, aristotle head, etc.

7de9c1 No.3093

>>3092

If there is a significant demand/community of Platonists and Aristotelians here, then I'll make flags.

7de9c1 No.3094

Need a stirner head.

7de9c1 No.3097

tast

7de9c1 No.3098

Cool! Nice addition.

Nihilism or existentialism?

7de9c1 No.3120

>>3080

Should it be Hegels head, or?

7de9c1 No.3135

Can we get a flag for radical skepticism?

7de9c1 No.3136

We should have a zizek flag tbh

7de9c1 No.3137

wtf is the stoicism flag supposed to be? a rook, or that two faces/goblet optical illusion?

7de9c1 No.3138

you can find some ideas for flags at the symbol thread >>1754

7de9c1 No.3139

>>3138

assuming you meant to reply to me, the stoicism one is a white box in a larger light green box on a green background. the flag is a white rook/capitol I/pixel hourglass on a green background. they arent all that connected.

7de9c1 No.3140

>>3139

nah I was just throwing it out there for the flag makers

Sorry if it's hard to tell. It's supposed to be one of those Greek pillars you find in the Stoas.

7de9c1 No.3228

>>3149

oh, makes a lot of sense now. sucks that you cant add the ridges that would me it obvious as to what it is.

7de9c1 No.3348

Philosopher flags seem cool if they're heads. Seems hard though with such small space.

I still demand a Hegelianism flag.

>>3087

Hegel's big thing is really his conception of science as necessarily a unified complete system of knowledge with nothing outside it. This conception of ontological completeness in some form, the Absolute, is his "idealism": the belief that reality forms a self-contained and self-generated organic unity. This is actually the presupposition of science in general, the belief that the world is rational and we must just discover and conceive how it is so.

7de9c1 No.3371

>>3348

Heads are manageable, I'd think. /leftypol/ has a Marx head.

Also, thanks for the little summary. Hegel has always seemed interesting to me but I could never start anywhere, I'm too new to this for him now.

7de9c1 No.3374

>>3371

Hey BO, how about you do some sort of bi-weekly or monthly discussion topic sticky? Even with just 3 or 4 active posters every few days it could make for potentially decent discussion assuming people are willing to actually argue or ask decent questions.

Either you make such a thread, or someone else does. I have a few basic write ups concerning beginner topics.

7de9c1 No.3383

>>3374

Alright, make an interesting thread and I'll sticky it for a week or so.
