Would it be ethical to give a highly-addictive, high-dopamine drug to kids, and then only allow them to get more if they studied hard and passed tests?

Sounds like drugs could be a great motivator if used for positive reinforcement, rather than creating sex addicts in doujins. Imagine how many kids would become accomplished lifelong scholars if a benevolent university administered the drugs.

What would happen is they would find other ways to get the drugs once they are addicted, on the street for example.

>would it be ethical

that's subjective, but allowing people who have poor decision making abilities (children), to become addicted to substances that can cause mental and bodily harm doesn't sound good imo.

Let's suppose a second set of conditions that negated those objections, called "B". Under "B," the drug is fairly safe except for the vital addictive properties, and it could only be produced in the secured labs of the university. Now can we drug our kids when they study hard at school?

No, not with kids.

I think that is perfectly ethical if it did not have any long term health effects. Also another nagging question is, what if it better have a person desire knowledge is and ends in its self, rather then the means to an end. What you could is some how transmit this drug without their knowledge. So yea, it is a good idea, but not one we have the means to sustain.
