For the first time I am attempting to remain a NoFapper for a longer period of time seriously and without relapses. I've been an active practitioner of masturbation for 8 years (I'm 20 years of age now). Fortunately or maybe unfortunately, my addiction never took its toll on my academic prowess, I was a reasonably good (some teachers even said bright) student. As it happens, I went on to study for a double joint degree with one of them being in mathematics, which as we all know requires a LOT of focus and self-discipline (domains where cumbrains lack). Although I have passed 1st year, my grades were below my potential (even one of my tutors remarked that). I have come to peace with the past and I'm aiming at making the future seem a little brighter. I wouldn't want to live my life knowing that I was just "sufficiently" good to pass. I know that the first step I have to take is curing myself of this addiction. Unlike many people here, my motivations are neither religious nor do I desire to create a fascist ethnostate with puritan values and arranged marriages (I know some of you are hiding here). What brought me here were actually few quotes from Newton concerning his cellibacy - and although I do not intend to live in eternal cellibacy, it is clear that this great man wouldn't have achieved a quarter of what he's achieved had he been jerking off twice a day for years. I've been on NoFap for 3 days already and so far the famed initial irresistible lust is not coming, I actually feel like I've never even known about sex and porn, is my mind playing tricks on me or is it going to get harder? ( I must say that I've already gone on short NoFap periods, with the longest being 2 weeks so maybe that's why I'm not instantly sex crazed as was the case for many of you during your first days) What are some of your tips for a beginner, preferably tailored to an aspiring future "scientist" (maybe) not a religious zealot or /pol/ redpiller?

Kid, I'm sorry, but you have to be at least this high to use the merry-go-round.
