FARAGE IS PERSON OF INTEREST FOR US INTELLIGENCE
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/jun/01/nigel-farage-is-person-of-interest-in-fbi-investigation-into-trump-and-russia
>Nigel Farage is a “person of interest” in the US counter-intelligence investigation that is looking into possible collusion between the Kremlin and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the Guardian has been told.
>Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the former Ukip leader had raised the interest of FBI investigators because of his relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder whom Farage visited in March
RADICAL ISLAMISTS MOVING TO THE UK TO PRACTICE EXTREME MOHAMMEDISM
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/05/31/islamists-move-uk-freedom-radical-islam/
>A growing number of radical Muslims are flocking to move from France to Britain, where generous welfare payments, lack of scrutiny from the authorities, and the ease with which families can practice strict Islam have earned the UK a reputation as a halal paradise for Salafists who are unable to secure visas for Saudi Arabia.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-40118123

>The attack was filmed on a mobile phone and played in court.
>Patrick Dowdall took out pliers and threatened to pull off the victim's fingers, starting with the smallest.
>The victim is heard pleading for his life as the Dowdalls threatened to chop him up and feed him to the dogs.
>He was tied with cable ties and told "one more twist and you're dead".
>The court heard that he was also told he was "stupid" to "mess with the IRA" and that Jonathan Dowdall was a good friend of the party's president Gerry Adams and his deputy, Mary Lou McDonald.

TEA INTERFERES WITH ESTROGEN AND CANCER IN WOMEN
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/05/170531092458.htm
>In a new study from Uppsala University, researchers show that tea consumption in women leads to epigenetic changes in genes that are known to interact with cancer and estrogen metabolism
>The results show that there are epigenetic changes in women consuming tea, but not in men. Interestingly, many of these epigenetic changes were found in genes involved in cancer and estrogen metabolism. "Previous studies have shown that tea consumption reduces estrogen levels which highlights a potential difference between the biological response to tea in men and women. Women also drink higher amounts of tea compared to men, which increases our power to find association in women," says Weronica Ek, researcher at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology, who led the study. The study did not find any epigenetic changes in individuals drinking coffee.

Projection seems to be a favourable word in your meagre vocabulary. It is also a favoured leftist technique to turn such observations against he who observes them. I also had a rather good upbringing which may be projection on your own part seeing as nowhere I have spoken about it.

Well, 22st, I am the kind of person who either wants to post the memis I want or speak on serious subjects with serious mental application to the problems. Since I have often been chastised for the former I shall perform the latter. Is it really such an issue to question open fallacies that are shared here? Is it a crime to make observations about beards?
I am a child of /politics/. A place without as much autism as this place ironically.

I don't post on /brit/ nor am I intolerant to talk about paganism. I merely ask questions backed up by an education on the matter and a great corpus of primary and secondary material to draw upon. It is you who pretends that educated questioning is an assault.
My observation is certainly not an ad hominem. You've demonstrated multiple times the qualities I have written about.
You love this kind of drama don't you? You have no argument nor do you have any wits to argue your fallacies and therefore, by design or by ignorance, pretend to be getting attacked.

1). There is no semantic issue with the word Druid. It refers to a specific high priesthood from a specific period of time. Of their practices we know some, of their beliefs we know next to nothing.

pigs are cute and delicious
when I lived in France my family kept a couple, they would tear up their fence posts with their snouts and run around the garden after chickens
had to be lured back into pasture with expensive french delicacies
I think they were called Pork Chops and Sausages
they liked being scratched behind the ears and would roll over for tummy rubs just like dogs

Yeah I've seen that. They are pretty smart too so they can be trained to some extent. A lot of people are keeping them as pets. Probably more common to have those mini pigs though.

>his past December, Leonardo DiCaprio met with Donald Trump in a last-ditch effort to enlighten the president on climate change---one of the environmental causes for which the Oscar-winning actor and activist has worked tirelessly. In spite of the informative meeting with the world’s most handsome environmental activist, Trump announced on Thursday his decision to withdrawn the United States from participation in the Paris climate accord. And DiCaprio swiftly took to social media to decry the controversial decision.
To signal.
>“Today, the future livability of our planet was threatened by President Trump's careless decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement,” DiCaprio wrote on Facebook. “Our future on this planet is now more at risk than ever before. For Americans and those in the world community looking for strong leadership on climate issues, this action is deeply discouraging.”
>“Now, more than ever, we must be determined to solve climate change, and to challenge those leaders who do not believe in scientific facts or empirical truths,” DiCaprio continued. “It is time for all of us to stand up, organize, fight back, and channel our energy into grassroots political action.”

It's reasonable to be concerned for the world your children have to live in, lad. It's just that even the most optimistic solutions only save you a tiny fraction of the warming that's going to happen anyway and at great economic cost. And these presumably are the same people who whinge about the economic cost of brexit or reducing immigration, but I guess that's different for some reason.

>“Rosewood,” “The Get Down,” “Sense8,” “Pitch,” “East Los High,” “Sweet/Vicious,” “Underground,” “American Crime.”
>These are all shows that were canceled recently. Notice a pattern?
They all had non-white and/or non-male leads or ensemble casts. Often the main creative voices behind the scenes were not necessarily what most showrunners are --- white men. The programs listed above were all very different from each other in tone and execution, but they were the kind of programs that, from an inclusion standpoint, Hollywood leaders have repeatedly said they want to make.

Hello, it's been a while.
I've been reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra this morning.
About a third of the way through, I feel like Nietzsche is pretty spot on about the chaotic nihilistic nature of things, the lack of a soul separate to the body, and the self-deceiving religionist and foolish masses tbh. Maybe i'm just feeling edgier than normal today.
Also bought some book by a Vietnamese guy on Buddhism and the nature of suffering but I haven't started it yet.
Also I cut the grass which took about 40 minutes since the garden is huge. Started raining but I carried on anyway.
Don't feel hungry enough for lunch.
On a separate issue, Alberto the reason I removed you, the reason I no longer initiate conversions with you anymore is because you no longer want real discussions
and you just use me as somebody to vent your anger at and then unless I help you, you get angry with me or start sending me thumbs up emojis sarcastically.
I want us to remain friends but you're making it difficult when you only want to talk to me when you want to let out your anger.

They have been consistently overrepresented in the trade itself. Do they actually keep more themselves? Perhaps not, I do however feel like their involvement in the trade warrants special attention in such studies.

A lot of time it's a choice between two very similar sets of policies, they really ought to let you choose multiple options so you can see which party you have the most overlap on when you get to the end.

Granted but he should. The difference between historic immigration from certain nations and the new wave of immigrants from those nations is incomparable owing to their intellectual capabilities. It is the truth and trying to have a conversation whilst dodging the truth is ultimately pointless.
Yes he has to communicate within limits if he is to continue to be part of the conversation. This however simply means that we are left in the same position as before. Maybe we will make baby steps thanks to highly censored works such as his but it is doubtful it will be enough.

For those who want to know about just what the bullshit Paris Climate Accord is about
>Representatives from 196 nations made a historic pact on Dec. 12, 2015, in Paris to adopt green energy sources, cut down on climate change emissions and limit the rise of global temperatures --- while also cooperating to cope with the impact of unavoidable climate change.
>The agreement acknowledges that the threat of climate change is "urgent and potentially irreversible," and can only be addressed through "the widest possible cooperation by all countries" and "deep reductions in global emissions."
>But how deep will those reductions be --- and how soon, and who's paying for it?
>Here are some key figures from the final agreement.
2 degrees
>The central goal of the agreement is laid out in one phrase:
>"Holding the increase in global average temperature to well below 2 degrees C above pre-industrial levels …"
>Limiting the rise in temperature to 2 degrees (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) has been discussed as a global goal for several years now. That amount of warming will still have a substantial impact, scientists say, but will be less devastating than allowing temperatures to rise unchecked.
>The global average temperature has already risen about 1 degree Celsius, relative to pre-industrial levels.
>And even if every signatory country meets its current pledge for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the world is still expected to pass 2 degrees of warming, as the agreement itself notes with concern. (That section is literally labeled "Notes with concern.")
>The current emission targets are just a first step, in short, and the Paris signatories hope the world can figure out how to get closer to the 2-degree goal as time goes on.
… Or 1.5 Degrees
>But wait! There's more!
>That same sentence in the deal continues: "… and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 degrees C above pre-industrial levels, recognizing that this would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change."
>That's right. The big, ambitious goal is immediately followed … by a bigger, more ambitious goal.
>Small island nations, in particular, fought hard to have this number appear in the agreement, noting that even if the temperature increase was held at 2 degrees, the resulting rise in sea levels would be devastating for them.
>Island representatives adopted the oft-repeated motto, "1.5 to stay alive," as NPR's Ari Shapiro has reported.
>And while those vulnerable nations didn't manage to establish 1.5 degrees C (2.7 degrees F) as the legally binding target, it is worked in as an aspiration. But it's a goal that would be even harder to achieve than 2 degrees --- which, again, is a target the world hasn't yet figured out how to meet.
$100 Billion
>"To help developing countries switch from fossil fuels to greener sources of energy and adapt to the effects of climate change, the developed world will provide $100 billion a year," NPR's Christopher Joyce reports.
>But that amount is identified as a "floor," not a ceiling.
>"Developed countries won inclusion of language that would up the ante in subsequent years," he explains, "so that financial aid will keep ramping up over time."
'As Soon As Possible '
>This one isn't exactly a number … but it's the target time for "global peaking" of climate change emissions.
>It's an acknowledgement that in the near future, total emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases won't fall --- in fact, they'll rise, as developing economies consume more energy.
>But the plan assumes that greener technology, conservation efforts and processes to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere will eventually allow emissions to decline instead of rise --- and at that point, the "peak" will be achieved.
2020
>Nations aren't expected to ratchet their emissions back immediately.
>"Each country came to Paris with a voluntary pledge to reduce emissions," Christopher says. "The agreement now codifies that and sets a framework for those reductions to begin in 2020."
>That year is also the deadline for countries to submit a more long-term plan --- not an immediate pledge, like their current goals, but one looking decades into the future.
5 Years
>After the 2020 reductions kick in, it's not over: The deal is designed to evolve as the years pass. Every five years, specifically, each nation's targets will be reevaluated to move the world closer to the 2-degree target.
>This element of the deal was one strongly supported by then-President Barack Obama, and it's highlighted in a White House fact sheet:
>"Targets must be submitted 9-12 months before they are finalized, creating time for other countries and civil society to seek clarity about the targets submitted," the Obama administration wrote.
>"Each target should reflect progress from the prior one, reflecting the highest possible ambition that each country can achieve. This durable, long term framework will drive greater climate ambition as technologies improve and circumstances change."
2050(ish)
>This target date isn't actually precise: The deal describes it as "mid-century."
>But that's when the world is supposed to meet another goal, which is much more concrete:
0
>Zero, as in net zero emissions of greenhouse gases.
>No one expects that over the next 40 years, the world would entirely stop using every form of technology that releases greenhouse gases. Instead, as Christopher Joyce explains, the mid-century target would be met by balancing inputs and outputs:
>"Any greenhouse gases emitted would be balanced or zeroed out by removing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere. In the case of carbon dioxide, that would presumably be accomplished by growing forests, which absorb carbon dioxide."
???
>Diplomacy isn't always quantifiable. Many sections of the deal, of course, don't nail down any numbers at all.
>For instance, nations around the world "should strengthen their cooperation on enhancing action on adaptation" to the effects of climate change, the agreement states.
>"All Parties should cooperate to enhance the capacity of develop country Parties to implement this agreement," it says elsewhere. And "Parties shall cooperate in taking measures, as appropriate, to enhance climate change education, training, public awareness, public participation and public access to information."
55 Countries, 55 Percent
>A total of 196 nations committed to the climate deal in 2015 and had a deadline of April 21, 2017, to officially sign on to the agreement.
>At least 55 nations --- between them accounting for at least 55 percent of the world's total greenhouse gas emissions — needed to formally approve the pact before it went into effect. That threshold was reached on Oct. 5, 2016, and the accord kicked in 30 days later.

How Hungary Became a Haven for the Alt-Right
>The increasingly illiberal European country offers shelter to a growing number of international nationalists.
>In February 2017, at the state of the nation address, Viktor Orbán, the prime minister of Hungary and the leader of the far-right, anti-immigrant Fidesz party, offered his vision for the country in the coming year. “We shall let in true refugees: Germans, Dutch, French, and Italians, terrified politicians and journalists who here in Hungary want to find the Europe they have lost in their homelands,” he proclaimed.
>In reality, Orbán’s “refugees” have been moving to Hungary, and Budapest in particular, for years. A small clique of Identitarians, or aggrieved nationalists from Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and elsewhere, all motivated by their disdain for their home countries’ commitment to liberal values, have found an ideological match in his Hungary, where two extreme far-right parties, the governing Fidesz and Jobbik, the largest opposition party, make up most of the National Assembly. Jobbik is the first European political party to champion a border wall. Its members frequently express open anti-Semitic and anti-Roma sentiments, and prioritize the preservation of “Hungary for the Hungarians.”
>This transformation has allowed a system of far-right culture leaders to flourish in Budapest. Coming from all over Europe and the United States, they have created a structured propaganda circuit, in the hopes of spreading their ideas far and wide.
