>inb4 mainstream platform fag

>inb4 playlist fag

>inb4 not a real fan of music

Ok, has this been discussed?

But i found out about this the hard way, and that annoyed me enough to make a petetion

(That'll probably go nowhere but here it is anyways: https://www.change.org/p/www-spotify-com-change-remove-spotify-song-limit-on-playlsts)

Not only that but isnt capping a playlist then saying it represents a small minority kimd of hypocritical and essentially a 'fuck you' to the most loyal customers.

Atleast do what iTunes/apple music does and cap playlists at 100k

(Totally also not shilling my own playlist here too: https://open.spotify.com/user/8p0o4nj5jrsjmi6pih1b7sqjv/playlist/7dtOWfzeF6VURUOwwqy27j?si=laDshXXBQSy0-L4CCPW4wg)

Anyways i want to see what /mu/ thinks of this

my everything list has less than 2k songs, and even then a lot of the songs are ones that I barely even like.

how the hell do you get to 10k?

Why the fuck would anybody use clearly inferior streaming service instead of any fiio dap with 64+ gb sd card packed with flac?

>you need internet

>160kbps mp3

>you need to pay for better bitrate, and even then it's still shit

>cucked artists because spotify is moloch

>you are tracked

>proprietary

>webshit

>it's spotify

conveniece. say you hear about some new artist that sounds interesting. is it easier to:

a) type the artist's name on spotify and have instant access to their entire catalogue, no matter where you are at the time

b) go home, search the web for a flac torrent, wait 30 mins for it to download, then transfer the flacs to your phone

It gives me really good reccomendations. Never woulda found Allah-Las without it. Good shit.

 No.94298

I'd have more of an issue with them removing "so-called" offensive songs from there. Some of the best music is offensive!

 No.94512

Why would anyone need this many traks? No one fucking cares about this becauz not everyone is a track hoarder like you. You do NOT need 10000 tracks

FLAC takes alot of space and I don't notice much of a difference.

 No.94529

I do stream some stuff I don't usually listen to much but whatever.

Yeah, but with "a" you have to pay, that's far for convenient.

ten bucks a month? pfft. I make that much in less than two hours

Apple Music Is King

FLAC is silly for phones, but essential for archiving. I doubt the DAC inside many phones would be able to squeeze out every detail of the FLAC. I usually download music in and rip CDs to FLAC, then convert them to 96kbps Opus for my phone.

And I do subscribe to Spotify. It's far from great, the app has horrible sound quality, but it's useful for discovering artists I would only have heard about hadn't it been for Spotify. And if I really like what I'm listening to, I'll then buy a lossless copy to support the artist.

 No.95001

Fuck I didn't know about the limit and I wasted 2 hours adding music.
