I just want something passive. I'm tired of having to search one band at a time on a whim. Just a couple days ago I decided randomly to see if Nekrogoblikon was on tour and they are. And they'll be 8 hours away from me tomorrow, and the tickets are cheap as fuck.

But that's way too short notice for me to be able to make it.

I distinctly remember finding something like this a few months ago but I forgot to buy tickets for the bands I wanted to see and now I forget what it was called. You'd check off the kinds of bands you liked and it tried to give you recommendations in order for you to make an account. If anyone knows what it's called please post.

I use https://www.songkick.com/ it's a website/app that syncs with pretty much anything (easier with the phone's music library), you put your area and it tracks the artits telling you when new concerts in your area are announced, you can also check everything that's going to play in an area or check the artist and where it's going to play etc, been really useful honestly.
