I definitely understand why people want this kind of thing to get deleted, but we need a rule that this would violate but that wouldn't get other more reasonable threads deleted. For example, if we had a "no political threads" rule, it would be very hard to post about particular genres of music, like anarcho-punk. If we were more specific and said "no /pol/-related threads", there are some /pol/-related threads in the catalog that I would have to delete even though 99% of the thread is people sharing music (this thread >>85792 for example). It's a tricky thing to do. If anyone has any ideas, like I've said several times in the past, they're more than welcome for discussion in the meta thread.
