This type of album is extremely difficult to pull off without falling flat on their faces.

I may be using the term "concept album" loosely here, but I like to think of these two as being two sides of the same coin; one being about the de-evolution of humans, while the other being about the rapid evolution of technology. Even the cover art kind of reflects on that.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a shockingly good album. It repeats too many of the instrumentals near the end but The Last Supper remains one of my favourite songs from the 1970's.
