AFAIK, there's been a very consistent focus on retro aesthetic over otherwise generic crap. I think it's an extension of Millennials young and older; a generation that was raised on the Internet, TV and public school by Boomers that couldn't use contraception properly let alone main an economy or anything longterm due to being burntout deadheads.

I think this ties back to what I said above; basically all forms of art are now consumer products in a very blatant yet ironic "way", like we acknowledge there's no dedication or skin in the game but lol we live in a society ok retard.
