alright here's my list of theories/headcanon shit:
>Papyrus has the same reset "awareness" that Sans does.
How does one be pranked across time and space without knowledge of being screwed with in time travel in the first place?
for that matter, Papyrus honestly believes that anyone significant who's died/disappeared in neutral runs, has "gone on a really long vacation."
in the eyes time-space aware papyrus, sans was absolutely right, they went on a vacation, and when things reset, they came back.
>Sans is in at least two months in meals worth of debt with Grillby, they both know, and sans doesn't care because of resets.
sans says "it's 10,000G" in regards to the bill because that's how much he's racked up in his tab at Grillby's, he's joking with you in regards to his debts. which is quite understandable since he's both too lazy to cook , and can't eat Papyrus' cooking.
most food items range from 15-35G, triple that and then multiply that tripled amount by seven and the math adds up
he probably does pay when he needs to. which if judging by the reset timeframe, is "not very often"
>Sans gets the majority of his income from his stage performances at the MTT resort.
the hot dog business, while not bad, isn't exactly affordable. Sans performs at the MTT resort in comedy- probably being the best comedian out of the bunch there.
MTT's quite lavish, and given the costs for things, he's probably paid quite well due to being more entertaining than the rest of the "entertainment,".
even if his main schtick is pad puns.
>The nice cream guy's business is doing shitty because he's always got his stand set up in bad locations.
The back area of Snowdin? a cave in waterfall that is out of the way? the path that is right next to the MTT resort?
The former two are low traffic areas, and the latter is because of competition. there easily could have been better points where the nice cream guy could've gotten in more business. why am I doing this?
>in the Genocide ending, Chara steals your name.
red text, signifies Chara's thoughts instead of reading to you a description of what they're seeing. the player is expected to "name the fallen child" as themself.
in the ending, the player has zero control over anything that happens once they meet Asgore, and to drive that point home, they address the player as (Anon) instead of Chara.
>Asgore and Toriel become a couple again in the true pacifist end:
imagine this scenario; after the epilogue, Toriel through research in human history (being a teacher she probably needs to know this) finds out about the cruelty of mankind in the past.
Her intended plan to free the underworld would have undoubtedly succeeded instead of stalling their for who knows how many years. If this plan had succeeded in at most three years, humans would still be rather scared about monsters after Asriel, and scared plus stupid means suffering.
it would've been a slaughter all over again. how would you feel knowing that the course of action you wanted to take in the past would have resulted in history repeating itself?
Hindsight is 20/20, if Toriel realizes the consequences of the actions she wanted to take, she probably would've felt horrible for treating Asgore the way she did.
Furthermore, anybody who's been in a relationship doesn't "quit" their Ex-Spouse so easily, especially if they've had so many good memories together.
If Toriel had the courage to talk about this, it would probably be a start in mending things. Alphys potentially could play matchmaker, on this too.
>Flowey manipulating frisk into the true lab was his plan B at becoming god all along.
He played himself to be the most hated thing in the underground to trick players into becoming pacifists purely out of spite, with that in motion, all the monsters in the underground gathered up at once, and boom! godhood!
in the first run, he didn't know that the human souls would rebel, so his easy option at becoming godhood failed.
plan B succeeded, he just didn't take into account the part of "emotions coming back to him," and realizing what it's like to feel things again.
