Okay.
Anyway, the only thing left for Undertale is is in user-created content. A couple of AUs have become really popular and are still going on. There are a couple fanfictions floating around that are decent enough to note. People still continue to make soundtrack remixes, comic dubs, animated comics, etc. and populate youtube with them; some of that stuff is good if you're willing to dig.
But the thing is, none of that is really "the future", Undertale as a game is over and gone, and nothing but another game can bring it back to life, so to speak.
Essentially, Undertale was a dear friend who died months ago. All the comics, fanart, theories, remixes — all that shit — is just us reading out an extremely long eulogy to honor our dead friend. And the service is winding down. Oh sure, a few of us who really, REALLY loved this friend are still here, but most of the people have already left. The church is mostly empty, and some that are still here are asleep, or hecklers, or are waiting around for us to clear out so the next service can begin. Their voices are beginning to drown out ours as we lessen in number.
