Hellhounds have a place of high esteem amongst monster enthusiast. Why? It’s not hard to understand. Hellhounds are the pinnacle of brutality, the culmination of everything that makes a monster terrifying. They have obsidian sharp claws capable or rending a man to bone, teeth strong enough to snap through bone, powerful muscles that allow them to crush any foe, and blinding speed…but none of those things are truly what makes a hellhound most frightening.
It’s her will.
They can’t be bent or broken. At least not unwillingly. Even in the worst of circumstances, a hellhound is not truly beaten or tamed. There will always be a glint of rebellion in her soul, a spark that threatens to consume her jailers if even an ounce of slack is given to her rope. For you see, that’s what tantalizes men who pursue hellhounds. They think they can be controlled.
But that…that’s the farthest thing from the truth.
You could sooner control a wildfire or a tornado than a hellhound. They do what they want, when they want. And woe betide those who think they can tell her no once she’s made up her mind.
So, I give you this list of traits that would make a seasoned warrior blush and you think “Why do people love hellwans so much?”
Because they love us. It’s that simple.
A hellhound might be a nigh indestructible, unpredictable savage being, but at her core she would never willingly or lastingly harm her chosen mate.
Think about that, a creature as strong, ferocious, and wild as a hellhound is one, if not the most protective lovers of Mamono kind. She might bruise you, batter you, bruise your hips, playfully insult you, but at the end of the day, you are hers and she is yours. Your wounds will be licked, your hips massaged, her insults replaced with complements for her loving mate as she rests by his side, her tail wagging back and forth before the cycle repeats itself. The hellhound can move mountains with her anger, yet here in her nest, with her chosen love, she’s as gentle as parent with a child. He will never know her ferocious claws, razor sharp teeth or scalding hot fire, only the comforting warmth of her warm fluff and loving embrace.
For you see, the only thing that can truly tame a hellhound is not temptation, gold, power, or an iron will.
It’s love.

Yeah, I fucked up on that. I just wanted to do a short essay piece to get back into writing because it's been a while, and when I wrote that it was late as fuck and I should have proof read it. For the part you guys are talking about, I meant to write something along the lines of "if he gets scratched up or roughed up during sex or treated a little roughly during foreplay, she'd fix him up and feel bad about it." Kind of like that proto rachnee story from crabman where she gets into it and scratches up Not-Darling's back and apologizes to him afterwards. Instead, it reads "She beats the living shit out of him and makes him feel better so that the cycle can continue". That wasn't my intention, and I'm going to tweak it.

Currently going through the same issue. My suggestion is to try and brute force yourself to ignore the feeling, finish the goddamn story and then get the final push to actually post it. Your worry about "irredeemably flawed" writing is just an effect of a lack of self confidence, it's unrelated to reality because nobody ever got an opportunity to see whether it was good or bad and you're biased against yourself. Artists will always hate their past work though, so don't get hung up on not even liking it after you're done, many artists have deleted their previous works thinking it was terrible despite the audience saying it was perfectly fine.

>You get out of the room as quickly and gracefully as you can, despite spitting feathers and foam and hacking your throat to shit all the way across the manor.

A week later.
>Sitting on your throne.
>It's extravagant and totally wasteful but god damn, do you feel powerful in it.
>It's not a throne room but close enough.
>The foyer opened, on the far side from the door, into a massive dining room that you converted to hold statues and banners.
>You tap your fingers on the gold-inlaid into the marble and silk.
<"Bored…"
>Your slave looked up from where he was dusting off of of the many banners that hold your house name and crest.
>"Sorry miss?"
<"I said that I'm bored."
>"Oh… Yes miss."
>You roll your head on your shoulders over to look at him.
>Hungry again.
>Stand up and move silently, your cloak flowing though the air, just as silently, behind you.
>You lunge forward, intent on sinking your jaws into his neck and drinking him nearly dry.
>You see him drop his duster.
>"Dammit"
>He bends down to grab it as you sail clean over him.
>With some horror, you see the wall that the banner was hung from approaching you at some speed.
>Your face connects with a thud.
>You feel like you got shot in the face.
<"MOFFER FUFFER!!!"
>You scream though your hands as the pain further explodes your brain.
>Turning to your slave.
<"Fucking why? Why would you do this?!?!"
>He looks to you, to the torn bannister and craked wall, back to you.
>"I… I'm sorry?"
<"Damn right!"
>"Do… Do you need… Um… Do you need help?"
>You say nothing and glare at him, pulling yourself up against the wall to sit.
>You just wanted to drink his blood.
>Why is this so fucking hard?!?!
Off to work now… I'm enjoying this. I'll write more when I get back.
