Well the first console I ever had was a Sega Master System. The games I had the most fun playing with would be DMC3,Tekken 3 (with my brothers) and MGR. I suppose there are others but those are the first which come to mind.
As for bosses, I can't really think of any which put me off. I always loved the fight with the Harrier in MGS2. I feel like the sound effects and stupidly arcadey attacks made that fight a lot of fun.

I started the bussines with a Polystation (surprise surprise) and the very first REALconsole I had was a nintendo DS around my years in the high school.
the games I have most fond memories are Jackal (Nes) because I used to play the game with another friend who used to live in the same house (we never beat the game, hue), Elder Scrolls Morrowind as a teenager experience and Super Mario World/All-stars in the Snes. As a bit of history I used to visit and spend a lot of time in what I should call a gameroom (think in a cyber-cafe but with consoles rather than PCs) and the mother of the owner used to call me for me to play Mario all-stars for her. she wanted me to play all the levels and without taking shortcuts or using flutes. such a sweet lady Rest in peace.
Bosses? well I can recall a few such as Bowser in Super Mario World, Kukulkan in Serious Sam the second encounter and Babel (yeah the tower) in SMT: Devil Survivor

It's really good. They removed HMs entirely, since now you can just ride some Pokemon to clear the obstacles, so no more need for those HM slaves. The story is good and it doesn't feel that much as a traditional Pokemon game because there aren't gyms anymore.
My complaints are about the massive FPS drops in Double Battles and the lack of content in the post-game. It'll be hard to grind all those pseudo legendaries to the last form without a proper area to grind.

Oh hey, speaking of awful flying experiences. I'm part Chinese (among many other ethnicities; though my family hasn't lived in China for over 4 generations).
One time, I had to stopover in Guanzhou. Their customer servie was awful. So as soon as I got of the plane, I was shouting in English because no-one had directed me where to go or put up a sign. Some military officer looking person shouted at me while pointing to the one man who could speak English.
Once on the plane, Some random woman started speaking to me in Chinese, turns out she wanted to switch seats so she could sit next to her boyfriend.
Then later a flight attendant starts speaking to me in Chinese, turns out she wanted to know what meal I wanted.
Later the pilot broadcasted an announcement that I had to ask the attendant to find out what it meant.
It was a frustrating flight to say the least.

I've been to a fair few countries, though the majority of my journeys were when I was much younger. I personally believe it's a requirement that people travel to other countries to experience something outside of the norm, otherwise you risk being close-minded and easy to influence (read: dupe).
So places I've been to include France, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, Syria, Oman, U.A.E and India. My personal favourite destination was Istanbul in Turkey. It's such a beautiful location and the food is top quality. It's a shame about the recent political turmoil. In fact, I went the year before shit really kicked off. I guess I was lucky.

The whole point I went was because my favourite non-Vocaloid oku Hanako singer was having a concert in Tokyo (and because my friends bailed on me to go to two seperate overseas weddings, so I wanted to go overseas notwithstanding the reason). Performing an engrossing 'cheese' performance is a skill in itself. Everybody is aware Katsuyuki Konishi's portrayal of Kamina in TTGL is ridiculously over the top - but it is nonetheless entertaining and, arguably, vital to the portrayal of the character.
Also, phonemes are universal across languages. You could show a someone in Congo Macross and, although they might not pick up on the finer nuances, they will still pick up on the overall tone. I definitely agree with 🇭 that there is gap between how Westerners act anime characters and how the Japanese do it. (This is not to say good performances can't come from the West. Just look at Persona's excellent dubs.)
There is also a difference in animation, which is the main reason why I don't use subs. The original animation team draws/generates lip-synching based on Japanese expressions. In localisation/translations, animations are rarely changed to fit the language it is moving. Instead, due to clever audio editing and strict voice direction, spoken lines are 'fit into' the animations as provided.
Problem is, and this is especially notable on animators that put effort into their spoken lines and include overt Japanese mannerisms, these lines don't always fit with the animation - regardless of the audio team doing their best to make them work. That said, the opposite can also be true. Cowboy Bebop incorporates a lot of mannerisms from Western action films and as a result, in combination with the solid voice acting, it fits arguably better than the Japanese voice acting.
There's also the cultural dimension, but this post is getting too long already.
