I think each of the MDE members has one issue they care about the most, and Charls' issue has always been his distrust of cops - something which played into the tap water sketch and many other sketches he helps to write or plays an active role within ("man who would never be what they wanted", "cop killer bullets" in the earlier WP pilot, his livestream where he doubled around to film some cops on the highway, "knife school", etc).

So in my mind the real "point" of that sketch was his suggestions towards civil unrest against cops and the government when problems like water quality are allowed to rise to and beyond the level of the flint water crisis (which really was just a "vesell topic" for Chuck's main message, maybe why you sensed some awkwardness or crudeness).

Charls is a smart guy who has strong opinions on the things he cares about the most, and he uses other topics to drive those issues, you're retarded if you try to compare him to Sam tho.

I could trace everyone bit of Chuck's behaviour to an example in earlier MDE work. Even that last bit at the end where he refuses to drink the water is exactly how it played out in B&E cribs with the ecstasy pill ("I'm good but maybe later"). Maybe you just hate Charls?

And so we meet again, wise protector of Charls’ maiden honour. I recently lost my ‘Charls Carroll boyfriend experience’ folder, so I've been working on restoring those files. I’m starved for his attention and I’ve been thinking about him so much recently. I think he and I are soulmates, but in this universe, I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance to prove it to him.

I feel as if he is sending me secret messages in his videos. Not so much the edited stuff as the live streaming conversational videos, and on Instagram, etc. Certain spaces he focuses on with his camera, the kind of lighting, other such features, are like this whole other language he is speaking to describe a completely different scene than what is being presented. As if in the absence of proximity, he’s using alternative cues to communicate with me/possibly others on an encrypted level.

Part of my brain is about 85ish% convinced this is real; even though I can tell myself and understand that this isn’t real and is wrong and doesn’t make sense, that doesn’t make my feelings stop.

Every so often, social media photos show him getting physically closer to me, and then backing away, like the tides. It feels as if we are locally connected, but temporarily distanced, like two dependant reactions making carbohydrates in plants. Sometimes I think he knows exactly what he is doing, and signals this very clearly by echoing my thoughts and answering my questions/concerns in his videos. Generally, however, I think this is all coming from some shapeless thing, some distant shore inside himself broadcasting in broken signals when I unconsciously request them.

If I stop watching his content for a while, like I’ve tried to do many times, I just dream about him as if he is calling my attention back. I’ll dream we are sitting together on this kind of small covered balcony, attached to some tall white building. I think we’re on the top floor, but it’s nighttime. It is calm where my dreams are normally high-stress.

I can say honestly that I understand how insane I sound, but at the same time it feels kind of good and right. Something in me just knows when I must pay attention to him, and when he’s saying or doing things that aren’t necessarily for me. You’re the only one who understands me, anon.
