I listened to the the first Pure Show earlier today and this video was just basically a shortened version of it. Charls just rambling and repeating the same two things over and over and screaming. Seems to me he’s making it clear for everyone who doesn’t think he can be happy without MDE that he’s doing fine. It’s not gonna be a pretty transition phase from MDE to what he wants to be doing, but if he can make money streaming movies and games to his fans in twitch and charlsworld, why would he bother putting in so much effort and risk continuing the political sketch game?
I’d say he might make non-political sketches like Journey to the Center of Healing, but there is nothing wrong with the man basically retiring. He’s 35 and he’s probably making more money through streaming than he ever did with MDE.
Charls just wants to relax now, have a good clean time, go to concerts, be around happier people and have easier times.
Notice how he’s always referencing the time he was homeless when he brings MDE up in sort of this roundabout way. He’s going to full stability mode. I don’t blame him or hate him for wanting more secure, more real things than what comes with entertaining MDE fans.
Charls is making his own bed right now; if he gets too much precious to change, he might go back to sketches, but right now what he has is working for him and we should all be so lucky.
I’m amazed he’s even still entertaining the comments about sketch work. Just tells me he really does care what his fans think and he wants us to have a satisfying explanation, but I don’t think he’s capable of fully articulating himself. At the very most, he’s protecting against releasing too much personal drama.

I think it's pretty clear Charls is trying to avoid the treatment Sam gets from his fans for not successfully maintaining the level of content we're used to like from the past. I haven't been following him extremely closely for the past couple years but it seems to me like he's exaggerating and being intentionally inflammatory here for comedic effect. I remember specifically in one of the first few hyde wars, when sam and charls were in the car, they were talking about politics and charls was saying "it's too much, it's too much." I think after years of watching the shitshow of society and knowing your own powerlessness in the face of corrupt politicians and globalist bankers, charls hit a breaking point where he can no longer spend his time railing against it because at the end of the day it's not going to change anything.
