I don't really remember how the powers in bleach work and I'm sure I didn't watch enough of it to learn all of it in the first place. But the art in this is pretty cool. I guess pacing would be less of a problem in the manga than the anime to.

I choose a part where the powers aren't really a factor or significant knowledge is required. I'm sure you know how DBZ power levels work. Bleach isn't much different other than when someone isn't restricting their power it can be very overwhelming for the weaklings around them. Emperor Haki comes to mind.
Despite what I showed you Kenpachi Zaraki is trying really hard to keep his in check. He has the Saitama complex where he's too strong for any opponent so he puts as many restrictions on himself as possible. Like, not giving a shit about getting cut up.

I've never actually tried to sit down and watch the anime, but I imagine it has the same problems Naruto does in terms of pacing even if you skip the fillers. It may be worth a shot though.
I personally read the manga then looked up my favorite scenes in the anime.
