She really cares a lot about Hanako. She always knows what to do when she's feeling depressed and tries her best to take care of her. She's really motherly in that regard, which I admire.

For me, objectively there are 3 persons.. Thanes first wife, their son, and Shepard (who I can sort of self insert as despite not identifying with her too much). This is something I try not to think too much about. Headcannon helped most with these aspects of the relationship not including his son obviously, but I'm understanding enough to accept whatever would make Thane happiest. It's complicated really..

The other people Aya loves the most are her friends Yoko, Shinobu, Karen and Alice, and most likely her parents.

There's more than enough evidence that Youmu loves Yuyuko as a mother figure.

She also greatly respects her predecessor Youki as apparent from her frequent citations, but he had gone missing a long time ago. Youki is Youmu's only known family member.

The identity of Youmu's parents is unknown, but considering the Netherworld is an undead Pure Land and Youmu is still young, they probably still exist somewhere.

1. Her classmates, of course. As the class rep, and most mature member of her class, Chiaki takes a deep interest in bringing her friends together and protecting them. I'm putting Chisa and Hajime under this one for simplicity.

2. Her "extended family" of Chihiro, Usami, and Alter Ego. I would assume Miaya would go here as well, but no character development lol.

Her dead parents are the only ones I can think of, most of the rest of SF's cast seem to either be afraid of her, or seem to find her abhorrent/obnoxious. And that's not including the characters that want to kill her

Probably her sister Yang (they're close and have a pretty good relationship) or her uncle Qrow (she really looks up to him). She also seemed to really love her late mother.

Besides her class in general, Fuyuhiko Kuzsomething hands down. Arguably (and with good reason) a canon love interest which I don't buy into they've an extensive history that's impossible to ignore. The really awkward aspect to the whole situation is he turned out to be one of my favorite characters in the series. So one hand I see him as direct competition but on the other I think he's a really cool dude but the thing I'd never mention because it'd be dickish is it only took her fucking death for him to realize what a prick he used to be
