It does not change until the very end, and this is the point. It's a story about all the down-to-earth filth, with messages like "those who are born as plebs will die as plebs no matter what they do", "it's fine to kill oneself for the greater good of everyone", "when you desperately need money, you always can sell your most precious thing", "the one to shoot first is the right one", "it's better to die as a civilised man than to live as an ape", and such other things. It's intended to make you wonder, how did they manage to put such questionable messages in a daytime-airing show. And at the same time, "don't lose your heart, and try to stay a human among all this filth". All of the above is the main appeal of the show. Or at least that's what I remember, as I watched it long time ago.
Of course it's an episodic show, with all the episodes following roughly the same plot. Of course all of the troubles could be avoided if the passengers just stayed in the train, and didn't leave it on every station in search of said troubles. But damn, man, it wouldn't be nearly as interesting otherwise.
Are you by any chance one of those people, who also can't stand super robot (or monster of the week) shows, who endlessly talk shit about them, and yet keep watching them one after another for some strange reason?
