my biggest problem with perseus is the formatting; the words are too small and if you increase the font to a size where you can actually identify the diacriticals, the words wrap and you end up with 4 words per line. i mean look at all that wasted space.
the next problem is that there is too much useless shit cluttering up the screen that you cant fucking get rid of, preventing the words from covering more than 4 inches of screen per line, not to mention useless to the average reader.
then theres the search function; its shit. i never could figure out how to look up words there, i use another site to get me to the proper url. then when you do look up a word, you will get every single word you were looking for except the one you want, and modifying the search parameters does absolutely nothing. also, instead of just having an ancient greek keyboard onscreen, they have some goofy transliteration code that is more obtuse than a standard transliteration. its so obtuse you may as well consider it a third language you have to learn just to search for fucking greek words. again, i have to use an unafilliated to look up greek words on perseus, because it actually gives me a greek keyboard.
its a bethesda/elder scrolls situation: just because they are the only ones doing something does not mean they are doing it well.
