Why didn't you discuss and recommend something for a start? It's almost as if you didn't actually care.

One of the weirdest I know is Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. It can be found online for free, and might interest the fags that into sci-fi. Its about a godlike AI that controls the entire world on a subatomic level, and people pass their time reenacting torture porn because that's the only entertainment when you're immortal and have an AI to take care of every aspect of your life.

Sorry, I like Lovecraft, Thomas Ligotti, T.E.D. Klein, Clark Ashton Smith, William Hope Hodgeson, and Robert Chambers.

Anyone know any stories similar to The Repairer of Reputations in The King in Yellow they could recommend? I really like how ambigious the extend of the narrator's insanity is and the weird future (to us alternative history) increases the feeling of uncertainty about the narration.

I have to say that The King in Yellow sure was a huge disappointment after the Repairer.

You just reminded me that I actually bought this book and still haven't read it. I got through the first chapter for free online and I had to buy it.
