Heh. Yeah, it is a thing. This could be considered an example of /tg/ speak. It is also a concept tossed around on SF forums, and such.
Humans sally forth to tackle head on the vile weaboo space communists, Martian princesses and their oppressive armies of SJW minions, literary fascists, GOD DAMN DEGENERATE FUCKING FURRIES, dreary realistic economic realities, etc.
It is also a reaction against portrayals of humanity being card carrying assholes, too stupid to live, boring and useless … you get the idea.
I suppose the classic granddaddy of this chanspeak sub-genera is Starship Troopers by Heinlein. It does not have to be dreary military fiction, nor some jingoistic power fantasy (and I am not hinting at anything here, Heinlein sails above such).
Live Free or Die by John Ringo qualifies. If you happen to be a fan of the Sluggy Freelance webcomic, this is considered to be something of a background historical novel to the comic.
