Social Dems call themselves socialist, tankies call themselves socialist, anarchists call themselves socialist, and /pol/acks call themselves socialist. It's kind of a big flaw in that ideology in that no one can decide who or what counts as that ideology

Yep. If each character has only one run at a game, you make a new character with a new name when the last one fails (and kills a few million). Also, there is indeed some differences in the specifics (natsoc doesn't have the exact same method as demsoc), but that's only to some smaller degree.
